Racism is the belief that your race is superior, or another race is inferior.

The widespread and deeply rooted belief in America, that white men can't fight and athletically inferior, is a clear example of racism.

If the Klitschkos were black, people would acknowledge that they're good fighters. Because they're white, they are constantly ridiculed in thse forums and in the media, and it's said the heavyweight division must be really lack talent, since white men have the titles!

Sam Peter is the worst heavy-weight on that list... I doubt he'd beat anyone on that list with the beating he took by Vitali.

How do you know, if you're really in Finland?

You're very wrong about that. Within a year after his controversial win over Minter, everybody had heard of him. In the months before the fight with Duran, you would read about him everywhere.

Everybody in the US heard of Marvellous Marvin Hagler within a year after he became middleweight champion - the media people loved him, and never was there a negative word spoken.

But it's been a year since Kelly won, and still most people haven't heard of him.

That's a lie right there. Larry Holmes was the undefeated champion yet Gerry Cooney, the challenger, was featured on all of the magazine covers for the fight including time and Sports illustrated. Not to mention they introduced Cooney first in the ring. Tommy Morrison got a movie role and plenty of publicity before winning a title. Andrew Golota is still getting title shots and PPV fights even though he doesn't have a single win over a top 10 contender in his entire career. So you can take that bull**** somewhere else. BTW, if you ever again send me red K for disagreeing with me, I'll make an effort tear your ass apart on here every day.
unless im mistaken don't the announcers always introduce the challenger first?

I think theres a few really talented heavyweights out there, Chageav, Haye, Klitschkos. You guys are way too hard on the heavyweights. Its looking much better now then what it was just two years ago when Klitschko was the only impressive one.

I dont think the current heavyweights are crap aside from Valuev.

Your also referencing a time when boxing was much more popular. As someone else has mentioned, are you forgetting about the great white hope Cooney? Yea, blacks really have it made in the sports world.

Cooney was a rising, undefeated young star going into his fight with Holmes, and his round 1 KO of Norton brought him a little notoriety.

But young Mike Tyson got much more attention before his first title fight. Mostly only boxing fans heard about Cooney, but everybody and their grandmother were hearing about Tyson. The two favorite media topics at the time were AIDs and young Mike Tyson.

Not true. And if you're only 22, how the hell can you form an opinion on that? You also conveniently left out the fact that Hagler had beaten every top ten middleweight thrown his way after 49 fights. Kelly Pavlik is a belt holder with one title defense over a weak opponent. Comparing Pavlik to Hagler is an example of why many people here have no respect for your opinions. I'll add that it's not the least bit ironic when you only pick white fighters who you perceive as not getting much attention. If it was Chad Dawson or Nate Campbell you wouldn't care.

My late uncle was a pro boxer in the 70s and early 80s, and my father and some of his friends follow the sport very closely, as I do now. I grew up hearing about boxing almost every day.
