I didn't vote in his poll because of the way it's worded, but YES, much of the negativity toward the Eastern European fighters and the heavyweight division is racially motivated.

If Wlad and Vitali were black and American, but otherwise the same (records, titles, KOs, PhDs and all) they would be on the cover of half the magazines in America, and people like Natas would worship them!

No, I have no problem with them being Eastern European (as I have always been fascinated with Eastern Europe and it's history (I have studied the history of Russia for years for example)).

1). I'm a fan of Vitali Klitschko.
2). I used to defend Wlad on this site after his boring performances (gave up though).
3). I don't care where a fighter comes from or what their skin color is. My favorite fighters come from all over the world (Guzman=dominican republic, hopkins=african american, pavlik=american, pacquiao=Philippines miranda=columbian, gamboa=cuba, etc.)

If Wlad and Vitali were AMERICAN (black or white) they'd be on covers of magazines in america. Very, very rarely will you see a non-american fighter in america ever be mega star.

BTW, I don't care about a fighters nationality. In fact, out of all my favorite fighters only a couple are american (hopkins, pavlik).
