I think Hatton has declined a lot since that night when he bullied Kostya Tszyu - but even a severely diminished Hatton should easily take care of Malignaggi. I'd be very suprised by anything other than a Hatton stoppage.

It's like Hatton/Witter, Hatton should have fought him for sure, but Hatton would have beat the snot out of Witter who like Malignaggi has no inside game.

Hatton will get inside, you need something for him when he gets there otherwise you are ****ed. People underrate Hatton now and I don't even like Hatton really. Unlike Witter, Paulie possesses no KO threat and his only legitimate weapon is a fast jab. Hatton even has the greater footspeed and punch variation.

I like Paulie but this fight is a gift for Hatton is every way.

Hmm. My su****ion grows. Mayweather improved a lot over the course of his early fights. If you look at him in say, his first 8 fights then compare that with when he fought G. Hernandez,

you can really see the difference, he was virtually the fighter he is now. He also sacked his dad as his trainer just a few fights after he'd been released from prison and reinstated Roger. They also had another guy I think his name was Mickey Diaz (can't remember) who I believe was very well regarded.

I suspect Floyd Sr of living off the accomplishments of others.

Floyd Sr was Floyd jr's trainer for the Genero Hernandez fight. Floyd Sr didn't stop training Floyd until Floyd's third jr lightweight defense against Gregorio Vargas. That's when Roger took over. Floyd Jr felt he had better personal chemistry with Roger.

How is Malignaggi over-rated ? IF ANYTHING hes one of the MOST UNDER-RATED boxers out there right now ... If anything , hes starting to get some recognition now... This fight will put him where he belongs in the fight game... on the P4P list....

You can't teach somebody how to fight in 2 months. It takes years upon years to become an elite fighter and truly learn your style. Ricky has his style and it can be done but it would take years to teach him how to punch accurately. He might do well in training but to bring it to the fight is much different. Once he gets hit with the jab a couple of times his plans go to ****.

And I question if Floyd really can say what he said, HE HASN'T EVEN TRAINED RICKY BEFORE!!!! Since it was announced that he would train Ricky, Ricky's been sick. Nevermind that Ricky breathes oil. What weight is Ricky at now? 170? He has a short time to cut that weight, that takes away from the boxing time. And look who Floyd just trained! None other than Joan "3 pound" Guzman.

Ricky will lose. All of this will just make Malignaggi look so good. He will have a career performance agaist Hatton.

i agree but i would add that his fight against Cotto was his chance to make a name for himself and he lost it which i belive will only make him more determined this time.

Floyd hits much harder than Malignaggi. You can't be serious if you think Paulie hits harder than Floyd or Collazo. Paulie has 5 KO's in 26 fights on his record but you think Mayweather and Colloazo are the feather fisted ones? I don't think that's overestimating Hatton's chin. If he can take Tszyu's punches, he damn sure can take Paulie's. If you want to bet on it let me know. This is an easy pick for me.

hatton has a very good chin. he has took some beats in his fights and not gone down. he has only being down twice in 45 fights. magee and mayweather yet he has a poor chin lol
