I find this one pretty tough to call. Malignaggi is so damn inconsistant. If he shows up I think he has a better than average chance of victory. I give him the edge. Because Hatton might well be damaged goods. And even Hatton at his best, you know, Paulie has a very awkward style. He was a terrific amatuer and he counters especially quickly. If only he had power. I mean he hit Cotto with a whole barrelload of punches. He can punch out of smothers. I think it's a 12 round fight, and judging from Hattons last performance, he really has to up his level to take more than 6 rounds against a Malignaggi overdue a significant win.

Malignaggi his not a vintage top level boxer but he has a very good hand speed and a decent jab which he works everything off.....
he also has a fantastic camp and fantasic sparring partners..... Malignaggi should be way to quick for the leaden foot hatton who for me is one of the most over rated boxers in the world.... just he has avoided every single noteable name at light welter to get into a position to challenge mayweather. he avoided mosley, judah and miguel cotto all at light welter
Malignaggi will out work him and will make him look like a foold, pauli has an excellent chin and the cotto fight will serve him well, he should have the motivation and the hunger to finally burst the hype balloon around ricky the **** head hatton
and for everyones iinfo the lazcano fight was a joke, he struggled to beat a blowned up lightweight and was seriously hurt in round 8 and 10.... and he hit lazcano with a lot of punches and could not finish the job - hatton has gone and i will be wagering big on Malignaggi as i think he will win this and this will be his career definiing fightComment

Nice report the full story was an interview with a british newspaper I posted this morning. It's missing a few details but good work manTrainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. promises to show the world the best Ricky Hatton ever on November 22, when Hatton meets Paulie Malignaggi in Las Vegas. Floyd Sr. event went as far as to say that Hatton's former trainer Billy Graham did nothing for him, and said that he would of made a big difference if he was in the corner of Hatton when the Manchester fighter was knocked out by Floyd Mayweather Jr. [details]Comment

I agree with this, I' d put all my points on a Hatton stoppage. He will stop Paulie, Paulie is out of his depth.Hatton is gonna look good in this fight. I have no doubt he will beat Paulie all around the ring to a UD or late KO. Mayweather just adds to my belief that this will be a big night for Ricky. As has been stated, Hatton's corner has never done anything for him and yet only the best P4P fighter in the world has beaten him. He has had no solid training and yet only the best P4P fighter could beat him. Now a kid who punches like a 11 year old girl and should have lost recently is gonna somehow take Ricky to school? Can I have some of the koolaid please? Ricky is gonna learn something while training for the first time in his life, and Paulie is in trouble.
A fast jab is not enough at all, A wreckless jumping in, chin in the air, no head movement but super aggressive Hatton would still beat Malignaggi. He'll find a home for those hooks on the inside against Paulie who has no pop or inside fighting skills whatsoever. Hatton will be the stronger man and he will just bully Paulie. Hatton will get outboxed for like two rounds then just revert to his marauding wreckless style.
If Hatton loses to Paulie he is done.Comment

I think Hatton has declined a lot since that night when he bullied Kostya Tszyu - but even a severely diminished Hatton should easily take care of Malignaggi. I'd be very suprised by anything other than a Hatton stoppage.Comment
