Hatton is gonna look good in this fight. I have no doubt he will beat Paulie all around the ring to a UD or late KO. Mayweather just adds to my belief that this will be a big night for Ricky. As has been stated, Hatton's corner has never done anything for him and yet only the best P4P fighter in the world has beaten him. He has had no solid training and yet only the best P4P fighter could beat him. Now a kid who punches like a 11 year old girl and should have lost recently is gonna somehow take Ricky to school? Can I have some of the koolaid please? Ricky is gonna learn something while training for the first time in his life, and Paulie is in trouble.

I don't see Hatton turning into a boxer in 2 months, he's always been a puncher. I'm sure Hatton is probably paying through the teeth for Floyd Sr. Malignaggi is on the rise and anyone who has followed his career for a while knows that he has been focused on getting a fight with Hatton for years. I don't doubt he's laying everything on the line for this fight and contrary to what anyone wants to say he is a very talented fighter.
I think he will outpoint Hatton. Aside from that, if he doesn't break his hand I don't see any reason that he wouldn't KO Hatton. Hatton is reckless and sloppy. That hook that Mayweather threw didn't have that much power behind it. He just caught him coming in & being reckless. I think Paulie could very much do the same thing, he definately has the hand speed.
i agree, hatton is wreckless paulie shoud win seay

well i mean mayweather sr was the one who taught his boy to fight from the time he was 3 years old until he went to prison so im sure he knows his ****

we will probably see a more controlled, more defensively sound hatton against pauile, nothing spectacular though

i think we will see a very good fight and a contrast of styles

im going with paulie SD in an entertaining back and forth fight

hatton hasnt looked good of late but i think he will really train hard this time and take it to paulie

hatton will take the early rounds with aggression and by roughing paulie up but then paulies smooth skills will take him to a tight points victory, surviving a late rally by ricky

i hope ricky wins though, and i can easily see him getting the nod with aggression and bodypunching

Ricky's actually an underrated boxer. For those who watched him Pre-America, they would realise that.

His fight with Ben Tackie was probably his best performance. Tackie was a dangerous opponent who had just been in with the top 2 in the division (Tsyzu and Mitchell) and Hatton arguably did the best job of the lot on him using his boxing skils showing lateral movement, slipping punches, giving angles etc.

Obviously he's no Ray Leonard and Tackie wasnt top tier but he did show that he has skills. He got stuck in a rut after the Tszyu fight. To beat Tszyu, you had to smother, maul and pressure him. Unfortunately Ricky and Billy Graham thought it would work against everyone and never really had a plan B.

If Floyd Sr can tweak a few things to make Ricky less wreckless and he's still got something left, he could still be in some big and competitive fights.

It is Floyd Sr. who made Floyd Jr. the fighter he is. Roger just made him more exciting to watch.

people doggin paulie for his power is one of the most overrated things people do on this board. most of the people here that say that have probably seen only a few of his fights or just know his record. the kid has average power, he just has brittle hands. that has plagued many fighters. 3/4 of his fights he fought with either a broken hand or a hand that wasn't fully healed.

hatton does not perform well against fighters who box and have speed. this is why i say i wouldn't be totally suprised if paulie ko'd him. it doesn't take a monster shot to knock someone out. hatton comes in too reckless with bad defense and that's what lead to his ko against mayweather. it wasn't because mayweather had tremendous power. he just got caught with a quick hook when his hand were down & he was lunging in.

You can't teach somebody how to fight in 2 months. It takes years upon years to become an elite fighter and truly learn your style. Ricky has his style and it can be done but it would take years to teach him how to punch accurately. He might do well in training but to bring it to the fight is much different. Once he gets hit with the jab a couple of times his plans go to ****.

And I question if Floyd really can say what he said, HE HASN'T EVEN TRAINED RICKY BEFORE!!!! Since it was announced that he would train Ricky, Ricky's been sick. Nevermind that Ricky breathes oil. What weight is Ricky at now? 170? He has a short time to cut that weight, that takes away from the boxing time. And look who Floyd just trained! None other than Joan "3 pound" Guzman.

Ricky will lose. All of this will just make Malignaggi look so good. He will have a career performance agaist Hatton.
