roger is, but floyd sr is the one who laid down all the groundwork for floyd when he was starting out all the way up until he went to jail. thats when roger took over.
Hmm. My su****ion grows. Mayweather improved a lot over the course of his early fights. If you look at him in say, his first 8 fights then compare that with when he fought G. Hernandez, you can really see the difference, he was virtually the fighter he is now. He also sacked his dad as his trainer just a few fights after he'd been released from prison and reinstated Roger. They also had another guy I think his name was Mickey Diaz (can't remember) who I believe was very well regarded.
I suspect Floyd Sr of living off the accomplishments of others.
2. I am concerned for Hatton as the last 3 times his gone to camp...his been ill all of a sudden. This is no coincidence its due to the way he eats, even one of his team was quoted 'Whne he eats burger and chips his fine'. Tells you alot.
3. Its too late in his career to change the way he is and boxes dramatically. Whatever he tries to do, Paulie will be the best Paulie can be....no matter what Hatton turns up, the wrestler or 'boxer'. So you will still see the same Ricky Hatton.....if he tries to do things other ways it wont work, Hatton gets caught alot these days.
If mcgirt can change gatti floyd sr can change hatton, floy'd wont have to do much for this fight but tweak hatton a bit to apply intelligent pressure as opposed to reckless pressure, since malignaggi is a runner you have to take the fight to him and that is how the fight was going to play out anyway, only in this case floyd will teach him how to get to the target and inflict damage without taking any punishment himself. Malignaggi struggled with lesser fighters I like hatton if he applies intelligent pressure he should win convincingly.

4. ..............Paulie will win.
What if Paulie breaks his namd in the 3rd round or something?
It will be really interesting to see how good Mayweather Snr really is. I think Hatton could really benefit from a more tactical trainer, I don't think he'll ever become a defensive boxer but at least he could channel his natural aggression and come forward style into something more focussed and effective. Against Mayweather it was clear he had no plan B, he was tactically naive and paid the price. His corner were usless in that fight.
