Please Explain To Me How Pavlik Has More Power than Hopkins?

Hopkins comes into the fight at 170. With Pavlik likely coming in at 165, so he can successfully move back down to MW after the fight.

    - So Hopkins is naturally heavier.

    - Pavlik is an accumulation power puncher. Not a one punch power fighter.

We can have both punch you in the face one after the other and you tell us who punches harder.

I just can't see how a fighter at 160 can have a bigger punch then a fighter at 170. Especially when Hopkins has good power even at his age, as seen by the Calzaghe knock down. And Calzaghe has a very good chin.

Because Pavlik's fans think he has devastating mega powers because of his 88% Ko ratio and it doesn't matter how often you tell em that he isn't a one punch knockout artist...

Calzaghe wasn't really hurt by that shot, it was more an issue of him being off balance as well as Hopkins pushing him down with the shoulder that made him go down/

It was an accumulation of punches.

errr, weight is not everything...you do realise that?
Alot of power punchers at super featherweight punch harder than their lightweight counterparts. Same applies for Lightweights and Cruiserweights.

Very true. Some people on this board are very blind about this.

That was more to do with Calzaghe balance though, and Hopkins fell into Calzaghe after to stop him from having any chance of staying up.
