Why he hasn't been banned already?

If Hopkins could throw 90 punches a round he would've knocked Taylor out in three rounds

Alot of power punchers at super featherweight punch harder than their lightweight counterparts. Same applies for Lightweights and Cruiserweights.
Sorry but weight does have a lot to do with Power punching. Pavlik is moving up 2 divisions. And Hopkins power is probably close to the best at LHW.

That's totally different. The fighters were in the same division where as Pavlik and Hopkins are not.

if Pavlik is a harder puncher at middleweight then Hopkins, by your logic when Pavlik goes up to lightheavy he should be the harder puncher again.
They weigh the same now (no weight difference), so how does Pavlik have less power than hopkins?

                - So Hopkins is naturally heavier.

                - Pavlik is an accumulation power puncher. Not a one punch power fighter.

Pavlik's frame is huge, that's where his power comes from. Hopkins' power....lemme see, when was his last KO win? And how big was the guy he KO'd?

                  How is it totally different?
Divisions are merely man-made catergories.....The rules could be changed so that we could have a super-heavyweight division.

Tyson still hit harder than boxers heavier than him period.

Pavlik is putting on weight (muscles) and his punching power will increase.

                    Tyson 220 Bruno 247

That is 27 difference in weight. Pavlik at 160 Hopkins 175 that is only 15 difference

Let me ask you a question then, since when Hopkins became a ligitimate "big puncher"?

Hopkins's power is more of a myth then reality, especially now.
He used to have a pretty good power back in the day, but it was not anything special, especially if you look back at his opposition. He was very skilled, and could put up a pretty decent workrate(one of the reasons why he cant deliver a ko these days is because his workrate detoriareted that much) if he was to ko his opponent but Hopkins's power was never his biggest asset.

Pavlik, on the other hand, while not as snappy of a puncher, had always had very heavy hands and a high workrate. He can put up a good combo upstairs and downstairs, which is something Hopkins's have not done in a while.
So, power advantage is on his side.
