OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
Now I get it!
It takes a couple years of fighting at a weight to be able to properly punch hard at it. Gotcha'....
I'm done here.Comment

No one cares if your done here.
Your silly.
Pavlik probably KO's Klitschko to right?
Hopkins is a 175 accumulation puncher. Pavlik is a 160 accumulation puncher.
Pavliks best weight is MW.
Wake up!Comment

Why wouldn't we think that Pavlik wouldn't be stronger with another 10 lbs?
I don't under the logic that is being tossed around.
When they fight they will basically weigh the same...Comment

Pavlik has a larger frame, wider shoulders, is taller, and is undoubtedly the more powerful puncher, and is heavier handed overall.
I've never considered Hopkins a power puncher anyway...he's very accurate, quick handed, and good at finding or making holes, but a big power puncher? No.Comment

youre wasting your time arguing with this clown who has nothing to back up his argument with other than name calling and stating hopkins being heavier makes him the bigger puncher,,,lol. talk about being simple,,,jeezLook at their respective records, especially in recent years; and explain to me how Hopkins possibly punches harder than Pavlik. I'm asking strictly for empirical data, because actually discussion of fights would be too easy on my part.
You wont find any data because it doesn't exist. Hopkins last knockout was in 2004 from his questionable body shot to DLH and before that was over the awesome Carl Daniels in '02. These were at middleweight, mind you.Comment

Gatti and Spinks arent in the same division either. Who do you think hits harder?
How about JuanMa Lopez and Guzman?
Tarver and Chris Byrd?
Rafael Marquez and Steven Luevano?
Israel Vazquez and Paulie Malignaggi?
I could name more, but you get my point.
Being in a higher weight division doesnt necessarily make you a harder puncher.Comment

Because Pavlik has had opponents react a lot worse to his punches than Hopkin's opponents ever did. Pavlik gives his opponents a shock when they realize just how hard he hits. Yes, he is accumulative, but during that process of accumulation, your taking a very bad beating until your out unless you cave in early. The opponents that lasted as long as they did against Pavlik, had strong wills. No doubt B-hop has a strong will as well and his style of fighting should blunt most of Pavlik's offense, but to say it as if Hopkins has more power than Pavlik or other way around isn't really how it should go. Hopkins hasn't had many 1 punch KOs in awhile. He also had accumulative KOs but they weren't as scary as Pavlik's KOs. I think no doubt the power is with Pavlik though I wouldn't be surprised to see him go down again only to come back and win it.Comment

Hmmm... Isn't that Hopkins best weight as well? How many knockouts does Hopkins have at 175 again? The truth is Hopkins hasn't stopped anyone in over 4 years, and that was a lucky body shot against a guy coming up from 130.
Pavlik doesn't hit as hard as Miranda or Abraham, but he most certainly hits harder than Hopkins, especially this 43 year old version.Comment
