Lets compare Floyd Mayweather with Pernell Whitaker

Jab: Pernell Whitaker

Power: Floyd Mayweather

Chin: DRAW

Accuracy: Pernell Whitaker

Stamina: Very hard to pick Stamina becuz I've seen the Jose Luis Ramirez fight and Pernell didn't get tired at all! He was extremely active in that fight and looked like a 15 round fighter BUT in some cases later in Pernell Whitaker's career he would get tired. I'm leaning towards Floyd Mayweather.

Body Puncher: Mayweather is an underated body puncher and has a good jab to the body...which has been a very effective punch threw out his career. The only reason I'm going with Pernell Whitaker is becuz Pernell would turn vicious for a couple of seconds and throw some wicked hooks to the body. Like he'd bounce around STOP then go Mexican Style on you. He'd do this often and that is why he was able to slow down his opponents.

Combinations: Pernell Whitaker

Footwork: Simply a DRAW.

Better fighter when they're back is against the rope: Pernell Whitaker would lay on the ropes, smile at you, make you miss and run your stamina. The problem I had with him is that he didn't always counter in these situations. Floyd Mayweather would counter and just landed the much better punches when put in that kind of situation.

Overall Defense: I'd have to say a DRAW.

I think Pernell had the better stuff but does that mean he'll beat Mayweather NO! I still don't know who'd win between the two.

Its agreed. Ive said before prime for prime Whitaker beats Mayweather. Whitaker to this day i still cant believe how underrated he is by a portion of fans. He is without a doubt a top 20 boxer ever and just about everythin mayweather can do Whitaker could do a little bit better.

mayweather vs Whitacker...at 135 I go with Mayweather. Many forgot just how cold he was, how a prime and feared Diego got completley mauled by him...Remember Diego the lightweight 2nd coming of hearns..he was beng made up to be. 32-0 2 ko's, who wnt on to great fights above lightweight. Mayweather destroyed him. Mayweather would have literlly killed Chavez, based on how chavez did vs Sweat Pea, Taylor, and Randall...

It would be hard fight, but I go with Mayweather, he had more offene at 135.

Judging by the fact that you don't know it is JLR- Jose Luis Ramirez, I'd say it is you that has never seen the fight.

They fought twice. The first fight I feel Ramirez won by 1 round, the second fight was Whitaker's most dominate performance.
