He's not far from the top 25 and I could see him there. Only fighter in history to win lineal Worlds at 30 and 47 with 35 making him one of less than ten to be the legit champ in 3 weight classes. Castillo gets my vote for the Hall and while he was older, so will Oscar and he was no slug win as far as opp goes and he's got plenty of solid wins along with those. I think what many miss is how ridiculously tough it is to measure with the top 25 given how many fighters there have been. Saying 'he's just lower top fifty' is high praise if you know what you're talking about. The run from 03-05 hurt his career rating if he never fights again, but he will and probably without even taking a full year off.

It's good to know that I am not the only one who feels that way. I really find it disturbing to see so many ppl talking so much **** about fighters. calling a fighter a ”*****“?? from behind a computer?! seriously...

It really bugs me that people don't understand that even behind a 40 fight career, against opposition that is not always who we would have wanted to see them fight, is still a life of efforts and privations, for which fighters deserve (not just have) the right to do what they want not what we want.

The worst part is that there are more posters who fail to grasp this, then those who get it.

That would be fine and dandy if we the fans didn't pay for their salaries. However, as a paying customer I have the right to demand the best matchups possible and call any fighter how I see fit.

Without the fans, these guys are fighting for free, on the weekends in someones backyard.

You can demand what you want. But if 3 ppl demand fight A and you are the only one demanding fight B, that doesnt give you the right of saying anything about a fighter picking fight A.

It's his pockets. You are not more of his boss than the other 3 guys. Even if you are Hank Kaplan and those 3 guys are Qui, Quo and Qua.

As a paying fan of several boxing events, live and PPV, I can criticize any matchup or any fighter however I feel.

Thats right. He didnt fight Margarito. That should be a requirement to make it in the hall of fame.

1st emendment doesnt mean everything you say make sense, but calling a fighter a coward, a *****, a ***** because he takes care if his life makes you a ***** and a ****** one at that. (dont know if you personally engage in name calling fighters, but if you do... well thats' what you are)

I call Mayweather a coward for not fighting the best welters.
