To add to that point calling people out is a cheap form of publicity. What truly matters in making a fight is what are you willing to give up in the negotiations, how far are you willing to go to make a fight truly happean. Some people would call that a ***** move for the bigger named guy, I just call it the way of the boxing world.

I'm glad this was written now while Floyd still has time to do something about it.
Kellerman's wwe-style call-out of Oscar and Floyd before the Judah Clottey fight was right on!
"Floyd, if you're retiring because of lack of interest in the sport, stay retired, but if not, you have to UNRETIRE to secure your legacy..."
Ouch. Hopefully this builds momentum. I'd love to see him in with Marg, Cotto, or Berto.

actually u have your facts seriously ***ed up. when baldy beat zab he became the undisputed champ but seeing as how he didnt pay all the sanctioning fees for all of zabs belts, zab was able to keep some. when floyd fought zab( zab was still considered a champ although he shouldnt of) he won belts that were irrelevant but history states floyd became another champion by beating judah. now if thats not a ***in joke i dont know what it. same goes with oscar 10 time champion in six weight classes. ***in hilarious.
ps. im my opinion no way floyd comes even close to top 10 ATG. just my 2 cents tho.Comment

Logic, lets use it.
I don't call him a coward for the sake of running my mouth. It takes great heart to step up to someone and try to beat them with your fists.
I call him a coward for the many ridiculous claims hes made about being the best ever, degrading potential opponents, winning more fights with his mouth than his hands versus the best above 140 and then retiring.
That, imo, is cowardly or being a **** talking sissy, however you want to call it. Where I'm from, talking loud like that, you better be able to back it up.
Floyd never backed up his tough guy talk against the best above 140. He talked a great game and then,
he retired without proving it.
Also, since that ****er probably doesnt believe what he says but realizes it s good marketing.
Sidenote, while I do believe Mayweather should have stayed with guys his own size at 140 instead of moving up chasing Oscar, he is going to be the first fighter named a coward for failing to fight people with a 10+ pounds advantage on fight night in his 4th weight division. Unprecedented...Comment

Actually you're a ***** for hiding behind a keyboard and monitor calling a "FIGHTER" a *****! Not only are you a coward but you obviously don't know **** about boxing. Answer this question dumbass. What is Floyds weight division? If you say Welterweight you just proved my point. Floyd is NOT a true welterweight!!! Jackass!Last edited by supremelygifted; 09-05-2008, 08:52 AM.Comment

We can almost certainly agree that Mayweather doesn't belong in the top 10, hallowed ground reserved for names like Robinson, Armstrong, Ali, Louis, Pep, Greb, ect. And the opinion here is that for all his remarkable talent, his body of work isn't enough to crack the top 25 either. Looking at that 19-42 range, the upper end just doesn't seem right given the talent pools of the past.
So our final declaration is this: if Mayweather never fights again, he ranks somewhere in the second 25 in boxing history, pound-for-pound, taking into account both his ability and his accomplishment. "Pretty Boy" and his devoted fans may not want be happy to hear it, and the Floyd haters probably won't like it either, but that's where he belongs.
