"Haterfree" appears to have some kind of obsession with Antonio Margarito. Out of his 17 threads made, 6 of them are about Margarito and the rest comprise of threads explaining how elite Black boxers are compared to other races.

What I find ironic is that here are 2 threads where is attempting to criticize boxing fans for discussing Floyd so much, yet this guy who is "free of hate" for some reason can't bring himself to talk about another fighter other than Antonio Margarito.

"Why are people so concerned with Floyds career?"

i don't think he's overrated. i think he's a big and good brawler in a deep division. i think paul williams will beat him again though- but thats just testament to the fact that theres a lot of good welters/jr middles right now

But some would have us believe that he has had a greater career than future Hall of Famers like Oscar, Floyd, or even Joe Calzaghe & Roy Jones.

Is he the most overrated boxer in history. Guys like David Reid, Edison Miranda, Tommy Morrison were overrated but I think Margarito just might take 1st place.
Antonio Margarito is in no way overrated. 3 of those 5 losses were in his first 12 bouts. The next loss was to Daniel Santos in an attempt to move up to 154. He lost by Techinical Decision. Marg's next loss came by a close decision to Paul Williams. Marg has never been Ko'd. He's beaten the likes of Miguel Cotto,Kermit Cintron (2x) decisviely. He holds the ALL TIME RECORD for ALL WEIGHT DIVISIONS FOR the most punches thrown in a 12 round fight recorded by compubox, when he unleashed 1,675 blows against Joshua Clottey in December 2006. Margarito is not overrated. He is a great Welterweight Champion.

he's entertaining to watch, no prima-donna antics and he's flawed...some fans can relate to those types of fighters more than the PBF's or the DLH's in the sport
Floyd Mayweather hasn't had anything handed to him.. he's worked hard to reach the status he has achieved.. the man has been training everyday from age 6 till he retired and has fought quality opponents thru his career.. won titles in 5 divisions. his resume is waaaaay more impressive than margarito's.. stop hating

but back to the thread margarito is a good fighter but i dont think he is worthy of the title "great" fighter yet.. he's solid at 147 and he should stay in that division.. if he moves up to 154 i dont see him being successful.. i think he needs to fight paul williams to see who reigns supreme at welterweight

margarito is one of the most underrated boxers in the history of this sport. he never got his chance to shine for many years because of all the ducking of the welterweight champions. people are just starting to realize what all the real boxing fans have known for years thats that antonio margarito is an elite fighter.

margarito is a good fighter but to say he is one of the most underrated boxers in the history of the sport is just bs!! he can be beaten its been proven 5 times already.. as long as he doesnt move up in weight and fight big fighters he should be fine.. margarito will be good at welterweight as long as he avoids pwill and if floyd stays retired.. those are the only 2 at welter than can beat margo right now.. but other than that, welter is his division

Outstanding research. However you didn't mention the thread where he wonders when Manny Pacquiao is going to fight some black opponents. Yeah, no agenda there.

any fighter can be beaten. even your hero mayweather if he dared to fight the best. margarito will beat williams next year. and yes margarito is underrated because people have said for years hes a bum and now hes proven hes the best welterweight fighter and this aint no fluke like baldomir.

Just found it. That is quite an astonishing thread. Almost as astonishing as his "Only black Boxers Have The Balls To Move Up In Weight" thread. Unfortunately, ever sport and athlete will have uneducated ignorant fans who believe they have adequate information to give an opinion.

im not hating but margarito never received the 'ideal career path/blueprint' that arum provided PBF, DLH, or Cotto...he fought his way into the limelight...he aint flashy, doesnt hype himself and most fighters with those types of fighters with those handicaps rarely get any spotlight in this day and age
