Looking back at Hatton's preformances after the Tszyu win....

So you basically just wanted to show how many picked Floyd to win over hatton, and hid it inside this opinion of Hatton-Pac? lol. Look, many here sad Floyd would win, and hoped Floyd got his ass kicked so who cares about any of the polls for this fight. Pac will beat Hatton because people have caught up to Hatton. Hatton was limited before he fought Floyd, and he was exposed. I would think Pac has enough to beat Hatton only because Hatton is now struggling to make 140, and is too small for 147. I'd like to see the fight, but you didn't have to throw in a shot at Floyd lol. You and Pelon are one in the same except you ride with Cotto, and Pelon rides with Margs. At least you have better arguments than Pelon, and have shown a slight case of objectivity. Pelon is just a bore to read, and a boring poster.Does he really have a chance against Pacquiao?
He KO'd Maussau but then SEVERELY struggled with Collazo who many people feel actually BEAT Hatton, then struggled again with Urango, KO'd a flagrantly past his prime Castillo (which I guess is an alright win), then gets embarrassed by Mayweather, then almost gets TAKEN OUT by a inactive fighter who was past his prime and semi retired when he agreed to the fight in Lazcano. Lazcano almost took him out in the same manner that Mayweather did: with a left hook due to Hatton's lack of defensive awareness when pressuring forward.
Now these are visible facts. I've always thought that Hatton was given this aura of greatness because of the Tszyu win and his struggles AFTER that fight were all of a sudden ignored because Mayweather chose him as an opponent. We even have Floyd fans saying **** like "EVERYBOYDY said Hatton was going to rough Floyd up and knock him out but he proved da hatas wrong lol lol snicker" which is bull**** as this poll right here proves:
Hatton 36% vs. Mayweather 63%
Anyway, Pacquiao isnt a great "boxer". But I can confidently say that the fastest fighter in that ring would be Pacquiao. If Hatton tries to go in for his WWE tactics, Pacquiao will throw that left CONSTANTLY and will hit Hatton CONSTANTLY. If a semi retired Lazcano had enough pop to make Hatton sing in the rain, I strongly believe Pacuquiao would end the fight in 6 rounds. Roach and Pac will not let Hatton get close enough to work his inside game. Pacquiao has the stamina and strength to keep a frenetic pace for 12 rounds. Does Hatton?
I do hope this fight comes off because this would be a big EVENT and it would only make Pacquiao vs. Marquez III a bigger event if it were to happen.Comment

True Hatton wasnt the same at 147 , he only fought at welter once against a true welter in Luis , against Floyd it was on paper 147 but in reality it was 140 and Ricky stepped in at his prime weight and in his own words his best fighting weight , the actual scales defines the fight more than numbers stamped on the belt .Oh yeah, I don't think there was a size disparity. Some fighters just aren't the same when they move up, even if it's only a few pounds. Like Paulie Ayala, who was a pretty decent 122-pounder but when he moved up to 126 to fight other former junior-featherweights like Barrera and Morales he got the living crap beat out of him.
Ricky Hatton wasn't the same fighter at 147 that he was at 140, and the record speaks for itself really.
To say Floyd is a better welter is misleading in this discussion because Floyd is a better fighter than Hatton at any weight .Comment

To me if Floyd is not bigger then Hatton, so the fight being at welter is meaningless. They could have fought at any wieght and Floyd would have demolished Hatton. Against bigger welters i would allow the Hatton sucks at welter excuse because his style would not work on bigger fighters, now Floyd had more success against bigger fighters but that does not really make him the bigger guy. To me they are the same size and just happeaned to fight at welter.Oh yeah, I don't think there was a size disparity. I only read a few posters here, with all the new people coming in and out it's hard to follow anyone anymore. What's good about haters of any fighters here is that they tip you off in the first sentence what their agenda is.
The ones that bother me are the subliminal haters. Those are the sneaky, sneaky types.Comment

hatton was fighting at 140 when Floyd was a legitimate 130er making weight quite easily. Hatton has 43 fights at 140+, and Floyd has, er, 8 or so (without checking).
Hatton was 154ish on fight night. Floyd was 148.
Weight is what makes you a certain class, not necessarily your ability to fight bigger guys. That is my opinion.
Ruiz could probably beat Mormeck, but not Roy Jones. Yet, Mormeck is more of a heavyweight than Roy Jones. Nahmean?Comment

John Scully, trainer and former light heavyweight title challenger: “A lot of people are picking Hatton to win because they don’t like Mayweather. As good and tough as Hatton is, Mayweather is even better than he gets credit for. He’s a lot like Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali; he’s tough at heart and will fight hard when he has to. The same rap against Mayweather was said about Roy Jones; that he didn’t want to mix it up. Roy actually loved to fight guys who would come at him the way Hatton will come at Mayweather. So does Mayweather. Look what he did to (Jose Luis) Castillo in their rematch and Diego Corrales. A lot of people thought they would beat Mayweather. When he needs to step up, he steps up. There’s no way that Hatton will be able to steamroll him.” Mayweather W 12.

You can say the same thing about Cotto...totally overrated.are the majority of these hardcore fans british haha? i mean seriously, there will ALWAYS be a small majority that will vote the underdog, but in no way was "EVERYONE" saying Hatton was going to win.
We're talking about a fighter who struggled in MOST of his fights after his signature win. This guy was highly overrated and once again, the #1 P4P fighter may just put the nail in the coffin.
And Dios, you know what I'm talking about. You were one of the few sane Floyd fans that new the Hatton hype was getting out of control.Comment

the reason Uk fighters get so much hate is because they fight bums their entire Career and their fans actually think they could rough up the good opposition.
Hatton doesn't deserve the hate, he's a nice guy and he at least stepped up and took on the best, instead of fighting nobodies and telling himself every 5 minutes that he has done enough to be considered great.Comment

I agree, they were functionally the same size. Here you have a good welterweight fighter against a guy moving up to a weight where he hadn't been able to get work done. It's just curious to me because this could have been an even bigger event at 140 where Hatton was something significant as opposed to 147 where he was a non-entity.To me if Floyd is not bigger then Hatton the fight being at welter is meaningless. They could have fought at any wieght and Floyd would have demolished Hatton.
