Looking back at Hatton's preformances after the Tszyu win....

Does he really have a chance against Pacquiao?

He KO'd Maussau but then SEVERELY struggled with Collazo who many people feel actually BEAT Hatton, then struggled again with Urango, KO'd a flagrantly past his prime Castillo (which I guess is an alright win), then gets embarrassed by Mayweather, then almost gets TAKEN OUT by a inactive fighter who was past his prime and semi retired when he agreed to the fight in Lazcano. Lazcano almost took him out in the same manner that Mayweather did: with a left hook due to Hatton's lack of defensive awareness when pressuring forward.

Now these are visible facts. I've always thought that Hatton was given this aura of greatness because of the Tszyu win and his struggles AFTER that fight were all of a sudden ignored because Mayweather chose him as an opponent. We even have Floyd fans saying **** like "EVERYBOYDY said Hatton was going to rough Floyd up and knock him out but he proved da hatas wrong lol lol snicker" which is bull**** as this poll right here proves:

    Hatton 36% vs. Mayweather 63%

Anyway, Pacquiao isnt a great "boxer". But I can confidently say that the fastest fighter in that ring would be Pacquiao. If Hatton tries to go in for his WWE tactics, Pacquiao will throw that left CONSTANTLY and will hit Hatton CONSTANTLY. If a semi retired Lazcano had enough pop to make Hatton sing in the rain, I strongly believe Pacuquiao would end the fight in 6 rounds. Roach and Pac will not let Hatton get close enough to work his inside game. Pacquiao has the stamina and strength to keep a frenetic pace for 12 rounds. Does Hatton?

I do hope this fight comes off because this would be a big EVENT and it would only make Pacquiao vs. Marquez III a bigger event if it were to happen.

You don't think that the fact that nearly four out of ten HARDCORE FIGHT FANS picked Hatton to win is telling? And concerning?

We're not talking about the random guy on the street who caught an episode of 24/7. We're talking about serious fight fans.. ..nearly four out of ten.

Don't know really. It depends entirely on the size issue. If Pacquiao can be legitimate at 140 he should eat Hatton alive. If not, and I have to say this is what my gut tells me, Hatton might well beat him up. I think in either instance it would be an exciting fight and I'd really like to see it.

I think you're really stretching it, in terms of making Hatton look bad. Sure, he might not be favored agains Pacquiao, but the guy is a big strong fighter who bullies around guys much, much bigger that Manny. Just saying.

He didn't really struggle with Urango. He got hurt once to the body. But he recovered nicely. And pretty much dominated the fight. Not getting the KO was his biggest flaw.

The Collazo fight was an example of just how damn small Hatton is. And he still won.

Against Mayweather, he gave him all he could handle. He made Floyd really work, and that was as much as you could expect from the guy. I honestly didn't even expect him to give as good of a fight as he did early on. I don't fault him too much for losing to Mayweather. I mean, can you?

The Castillo fight should be pretty much written off. JLC was pretty far gone at that point. But I do admit that the body shot would have pretty much stopped anybody, regardless of how fresh they were.

Keep in mind that I'm not at all a Hatton fan.

Hatton's only loss was to a P4P great in Floyd Mayweather. The people who picked Hatton to win that fight were people picking with thier hearts instead of thier heads, plus the fingers and toes were crossed hoping for a Floyd loss.

are the majority of these hardcore fans british haha? i mean seriously, there will ALWAYS be a small majority that will vote the underdog, but in no way was "EVERYONE" saying Hatton was going to win.

We're talking about a fighter who struggled in MOST of his fights after his signature win. This guy was highly overrated and once again, the #1 P4P fighter may just put the nail in the coffin.

And Dios, you know what I'm talking about. You were one of the few sane Floyd fans that new the Hatton hype was getting out of control.

The way Manny boxed last time out with speed and movement he will turn Ricky inside out at this point in both their careers ones peaking and the other is looking ordinary , Hatton looked ****house last fight , has dumped long time trainer been koed and is not a happy camper , its all down hill for Hatton from here on in and I feel Ricky will have his hands full getting a win over Pauli let alone Manny .

It was unbelievable to me some of the rhetoric that was going on last fall. Guys were saying how Hatton would break Floyd's ribs. Seriously.

I'm Dominican...but I'm not picking Delvin over Margarito... nahmean? There's nationalism, and that's fine. But at a certain point, you gotta be reasonable.

                    My Mayweather predictions:

                    Floyd TKO 10 Hatton

                    Floyd 116-112 Delahoya

Those are reasonable predictions.... despite my (underserved) reputation as a PBF nuthugger.
