    Even JCC/Pea was at WW.
I dont know Dios , I go with Asian on that , I think 140 it would have been bigger as it shut the door on the biggest excuse and loophole thrown by Hatton fans even though if it was at 140 everything would have been the same anyway , the only thing different would have been they would have dried out a little more than they did and then come right back to what they were anyway , concerning this fight the 147 and 140 issue is really smoke and mirrors no matter what way you look at , this fight was not won or lost at the scales or ref or judges it was won by the far superior fighter .

...not as much as having the speed & reflexes to catch the charging Hatton with lead rights all night and the check hooks; as well as having the smarts to keep Hatton from gaining his wrestling advantage by placing his forearm in his throat when he attempted it... His reach would have been more of an advantage if he used a long jab to keep Hatton at bay but Floyd didn't fight that way, did he? Besides the smart jab to the body, he didn't use it that much at all, instead he countered, which meant Hatton was already in punching range for both of them, eluded shots and caught him coming in to break his rhythm, frustrate, tire him & knock him out...

I agree on the weight issue. I was thinking about the marketability of the fight being at "Welterweight".

And the truth is that HATTON wanted the fight at 147 so that he didn't put his belt at risk.
