This is a popular misconception, that I use to believe myself. Trust me, the ground is harder than the stand up. At least in my opinion.
Preach it bro. And just to reinforce what i said earlier...

Being a boxer turned mma fighter. With the limited grappling experience and knowledge you have...if you get taken down would you stay on the ground and conserve energy against a decisively better grappler than you and hope the ref calls for break or try to scramble back to your feet at all costs?? If you choose the latter how does 3 five min rds of this affect your stamina as opposed to 8rds boxing?

No way, forget about it. I'll be fighting at 205 and just having that much weight on you for any amount of time takes stamina when you are using your strength to guard against subtle submission moves and protecting yourself from the ground and pound. It looks a lot easier than it really is. I'll skip the second part of your question as I don't consider myself qualified enough to give an accurate answer. Peace.

I'm gonna step out on a limb on this one and say MMA fighters probably don't consider Kimbo one of their own.

Does anyone know if MMA fighters are tested for steroids? I heard that they're not.

Yes they are. Just last year ufc lightweight champ sean sherk was stripped of his title after testing positive for banned substance

Lol, I think I misinterpeted the question before. But the answer to this is HELL yes. The last place I want to be is on the ground. Im getting back to my feet (if possible) as fast as I can, because sooner or later the better grappler is gonna trap me.

Thank you. Alot of these guys see the ground game as a mma fighter's cheap excuse to rest and unfortunately there are times it does happen but for 2 guys to really grapple to a point where they are winded and these fanboys equate it as mma fighters having ****ty stamina and not training as hard as boxers is simply ignorance at its finest

Asking this question on this forum is like going on a punk rock forum and asking if hiphop is better. The only thing you will get is idiots trying to flame because they know nothing about the subject.

As for the answer, they train differently, mma fighters do more practical strenght training but they also spent a lot more time studying technique and practicing moves.

So it depends what you mean by "harder" training for mma is much more technical as it requires to know and practice different disciplines while doing conditioning.

If you mean physically, i would say boxers train harder as boxing training is always demanding. But mma fighters need to constantly learn new stuff to stay on top of their game, which is also hard.
