he is retiring after 2 fights how is he going to fight Pavlik ,Jones ,Dawson or Haye your expectations are way to high and unrealistic
Then him acheiving p4p no.1 is unrealistic.

Pacquiao has moved up in weight numerous times

Pacquiao defeated 3 hall of famers

Pacquiao defeated 3-4 green fighters (good)

Now he's taking on someone much bigger than him. There is just no way Calzaghe is going to get it. No hate.

            do you know anything? Honestly?

you must listen to mexicans or something.

Barrera and Marquez were in their Prime.

Thats funny comeing from a Calzaghe fan, who's best win was a 43 year old Hopkins.

Pacquiao during his younger years was fighting THE best in the division, not clowns like Kessler and Lacy.

Pac is currently the WBC Lightweight Champion and WBC Super Featherweight Champion. He's a former IBF Super Bantamweight Champion and a former WBC Flyweight Champion.

He's beaten the likes of Erik Morales (twice), Marco Antonio Barrera (twice), Juan Manuel Marquez(twice) and David Diaz. Not to mention other solid opponets like Jorge Solis, and Oscar Larios.

Multiple time multiple division Champion with 3 hall of famers on his record. Calzaghe cannot beat that record.

Calzaghe only has Lacy (and we all know how amazing he is), Kessler (robot), and 1 past prime Hall of Famer on his record.

Joe would need to beat Roy, beat Pavlik, and rematch Hopkins to match that IMO.

also Pacquiao got beat by a prime Morales and that was after his wars with MAB, by the time they fought for the second time the first fight had taken to much out of Morales

Diaz is not the best fighter out there and i think he lost to Marquez twice or at least once

And hell, by the time he did that, Manny may already have beaten Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya, so I seriously doubt Joe can touch him.

Hopkins and Roy Jones (who he hasn't beaten yet) aren't exactly young bucks themselves. Calzaghe would need a more dominant fighter around light heavyweight to pass Manny, but there isn't one of late. the only way I could see it is if Manny loses a couple of fights. It's possible too, if he loses to ODLH and then fights Marquez again, he could drop two in a row, opening the door for Joe.

Official records are OFFICIAL records. I think Calzaghe lost to Hopkins 114-113 and I'm not alone in that opinion, but I'm not whining.
