Froch is fighting Pascal it seems. I think Taylor missed his chance, he waited too long to see if Lacy would win.

Don't know why he'd throw away the good money that a Taylor fight would bring him.

He's not the best, but he still can get paid, no matter how bad he's looked in recent times.
But to throw Taylor money away, it has to be a dispute involving cash.
I don't think it's about the money anymore regardless of what he said about the business. Lacy has always been a proud guy. He doesn't want to get out of the business knocked out. He knows he's not the same.

Why are people so critical of Lacy though, cause he didn't fight Miranda and Green? Common, guy has heart it's just that he can't fight like he used to.

Damn. Now I'm getting red K'ed for letting the world know that Lacy is the #1 fighter in the world. Calzaghe cheated in order to beat the world's most dangerous man, Jeff Lacy. His fists are like granite and his stare as cold as Mount Everest.

No fighter ever had more heart than Jeff Lacy. You'll be missed, hero.

If Lacy feels that he doesn't enjoy it anymore and/or doesn't have much chance of winning another big fight, I think it's the right thing to do.

Too many fighters go on just for the money, I respect the fact that he has chosen not to.

He won a belt, made some defences, had some good paydays, and only lost once. That's a better career than 99% of boxers.

He isn't the same after Calzaghe, I actually wish he never fought Calzaghe and had more years to mature.

me too that was the only fight ive ever seen in my entire lifetime live on that top world level where a guy just looked like he got thrown to the wolves...i mean lacy was done after round 1...he took a full 12 round beating too...i need to lookup that fight i wanna see how many shots Joe landed on Lacy...

Yes, the Froch vs. Pascal fight was officially announced on Friday.

It's too late for Taylor now, he'll need to find another opponent for November. Maybe Inkin? I like to see Taylor vs. Zuniga.
