Manny Pacquiao: "I Can Beat Oscar De La Hoya"

i have no idea about you but no doubt that most Floyd fans would hate to see Pacman beat De la hoya cause a lot of people would take credit away from what most people consider PBF's biggest win against de la hoya. de la hoya losing credibility losing to pac would also take credibility from floyd. i dont really see it that way but a lot of people willComment

Let him fight Hatton at 140 before he thinks about going up to 147 vs Oscar. It is a massive jump in weight. I know Oscar says he will retire at the end of this year but I don't ever believe boxers when they make set dates for retirement.Comment

Can anybody else see thru the GB BS? He's thinking it over. Political spin techniques brought over to the boxing marketing.Comment

This is ridiculous. Oscar is too big and too strong. The weight gain will also rob Manny of some of his speed.Comment

I would bet all my points on Hatton. Pac would get stopped by Hatton.Last edited by them_apples; 07-23-2008, 09:47 PM.Comment

ODLH v. Pacquiao is an obvious mismatch, but, bull**** aside, I'd pick Manny to beat Wlad by wide decision or even a KO. Think about it. Manny applies constant offensive pressure and Wlad does not have the nerve/instinct to fight back when his opponent is coming forward throwing punches. Despite the 100+ lb weight advantage, Wlad just wouldn't have the courage to go full throttle for fear of being caught with a counter. I think this would actually be a fairly safe fight for Pacquiao. I see Manny storming fearlessly forward for 12 rounds as he chases down a panicked, arm-flailing Klitschko. Who knows? Wlad might even TKO himself from sheer panick-induced exhaustion.Comment
