Manny Pacquiao: "I Can Beat Oscar De La Hoya"

WBC lightweight champion Manny Pacquiao is confident that he would come out on top if he stepped in the ring with Oscar De La Hoya at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds. According to the Manila Bulletin, Pacquiao voiced his position during victory party hosted by former Ilocos Sur Gov. Chavit Singson at his Corinthian Gardens residence. Pacquiao said that only the catch-weight is being discussed at the moment.

Hell, if he says he can do it, he should at least be given the chance to prove so. In the last 5 years, Pacman has done everything that he has promised, and more....

Someone needs to talk to Pacman and get him back in touch with reality..
Last thing we need in the sport right now is a fighter of his caliber to get seriously hurt!

Agree with that. There is sooo much more he can do for his legacy. He can face winner of Nate vs Guzman or Michael Katsidis vs Juan Diaz. Then Hatton. I wouldn't mind if he fought Hatton.

Hey pare, yup I met him a few days ago in the flesh ! Still can't believe it.
The way he spoke during the party, seems he's hell-bent on meeting DLH.

I think he'll be too quick for DLH pare and save himself from heavy damage. His defense has improved a lot. Though I admit DLH will be favored to win this one, I still think Manny has a mathematical chance of pulling off a decision victory.

Hope i'm wrong but if it's money pac is after in this fight, it's not worth it in exchange for the possible serious injury he might suffer. I would be very glad to be proven wrong though.
