what if roach really believes manny can beat oscar?

plus just because he lets manny fight oscar doesn't mean he's gonna let manny take a beating.

freddie knows oscar is much bigger and stronger. you think after what freddie has been through in his career he's gonna let manny stay in there to get beat up?

a lot of people in boxing have fought much bigger opponents before......not a lot has been lucky enough to get paid $15 million for it.

if manny wants the fight. let them go fight. it'll take 3 fights to equal the money he'll make in this one. even if oscar is much bigger you think 1 fight with oscar will be more damaging than 3 fights against juan diaz , campbell and casamayor?

...I like Manny, and I'm biased torwards him because my wife is a pinay...if all you want is money and your health isn't important, then so be it, let him fight DLH...I think it's a mistake...and let's just say for arguments sake what I think will happen happens, and Manny suffers a brutal beating...he might never be the same again...all it takes is 1 fight, usually the wrong one...this is the wrong fight...just my opinion...Calzaghe was the wrong one for Lacy...

it's a risk but worth it.

if he fights oscar 1 time for $15 million it's less risk than fighting 3-4 fights for the same amount.

like i said before. roach is not gonna let manny take a beating. once it looks like manny is getting hurt and not competitive he'll throw in the towel. a loss to oscar won't hurt manny's career or legacy , they would not be hesitant in throwing in the towel.

people risk their health in boxing for $10k. it's definitely worth the risk for $15m.

Just to throw my 2cents in...boxing...particularly being a pro boxer in general is a giant health risk. cashing out and taking a beating so bad it ends his career is what inevitably happens to almost all great fighters.

I'll take your bet please. All points I have. I've seen this before. The opposite would happen if Manny fights Ricky. Manny by UD or late KO.

              enjoy this years.

boston ain't winning one for a long , long time.

you win in 6 games in a 7 game series and you destroyed the lakers?

i hope your team stays young enough to make it to the finals again...... let's see what happens when you play the lakers when their starting center is playing.

winning 1 championship doesn't make you winners. garnett , allen and pierce are 3 of the biggest losers in the nba.

              celtics......enjoy your hasim rahman moment.
Glad you know everything, hey could you tell me who's gonna win tommorrow's fight too? How are Garnett, Allen, and Pierce losers? This was the first year any of them had a team capable of winning it all. You lost a championship with the best player in the world on your team, Jordan would have never done that. Another thing, did you actually watch the games or did you just hear what happened? How about this boxing comparison, The Lakers were Prince Nasim and the Celtics were MAB. You guys just got bodied. What a pathetic squad. By the way you're not making the Finals next year, the Hornets are, so don't worry about having to look like crap in the Finals again.

The best thing about threads like this is people forget what they used to say and treat the fight like it was a mismatch the other way.
