Why would he need a high workrate? Phillips' defense wasn't great, that's why he kept throwing. Neither was Hatton's. But Floyd would block, smother and make him miss. And make him pay. And work the body. Then put hima way. Hey, that rhymed!
seems kind of high risk for floyd.
he has the footspeed and movement advantage over kostya.
i'd think he would use it.
kind of risky to be right there for kostya. kt had the power to change things with one punch.
if i was floyd i'd stay on the outside and popshot.

because being hyper was part of philips and hatton's success: don't let zoo think and prepare...
Although I am 100% with you on his inside fighting abilities, looking back at Floyd's career, I just don't see him going on the inside to make the fight there on his own.
I am not saying he'd lose the fight on the inside (see my other posts), I am just saying he would not be the one taking it there, he might allow the fight to go there, but not take it there.

They said Floyd would have to outbox Hatton too. I kept trying to tell everyone he was gonna stand on the inside and beat the living **** out of him.
Floyd doesn't need to be hyper. He'd systematically break Tszyu down with those digs to the midsection, making him miss, countering upstairs. Tszyu was no defensive wizard - he'd eat a lot of shots. And by the 10th, he'd be done.

TWO different fighters, but props cos no one else was thinking Floyd would be on the inside with Hatton.
Anyway look at the Hatton fight,
did Floyd stand on the inside from the get go? no
was he the one taking the fight there? no
Roger Mayw. was telling him at some point, ok stop boxing just stay in there, you can beat him there, and even then he didnt have to make the move to get there, because Hatton would always be there. Would Zoo make the move? maybe. Do you see Floyd making it otherwise? I don't.
I already said he would have the upper hand on the inside, but that's not how it would go down IMO.
All the people saying Hatton had the ref in his pocket must've missed the two low blows that Kostya gave him before Ricky gave one back. People always presume Hatton got favourable treatment - people even claim Tszyu's nutshot was a "bodyshot"
It was a rough fight but both guys gave as good as they got.
tszyu dropped hatton with a clean body shot and it was ruled a slip
