    No.

    BUT

He already is a British all time great (top 3), and he is a great fighter, who will be remembered in very high regard for a long, long time if he remains unbeaten

For a long time Calzaghe was in the position of being too good for any of the top dogs at SMW to risk defending their WBC/WBA/IBF titles against him(Pre Kessler). I think he's just got complacent and is taking what is given to him instead of rising or dropping in weight and making any noise about other young prime fighters who could advance his career.

I can have 21 straight defenses against guys you never heard of too. So can you. Hey why don't we all apply to all time greatness?!

nope. Not much to gain from Joe beating Roy. But Roy has everything to gain. beating Joe would bring him alot higher among the all time greats.

That's the narrative around him. That he wasn't given a chance to fight good competition. The truth however is he was never big enough to leave his home country. Do you really think a good fighter gets trouble finding fights? He's now 36. Do you think a great fighter aged 30 has trouble finding fights? Look at Mayweather and Oscar for instance, as soon has they were off their prime the whole of boxing's world was begging them to fight. It's bogus.

definitely not an ATG, Joe hasn't done anything great. He always seems to try and hype up his wins before and after fights.

Lacy and Kessler weren't that good, Hopkins was past it (43) and almost won.

Calzaghe needs to beat one great fighter to be considered great. After the Hopkins fight I really don't look at Calzaghe that fondly.

If Calzaghe beat Pavlik you could say that would sum it up enough to say Calzaghe was a solid fighter, but every single one of Calzaghe's so called big wins have to many loop holes and easy excuses to put him off from being an ATG.

                  Yeah, double standards.

If old Calzaghe beats old Jones, it's meaningless.

If old Jones beats old Calzaghe, it's a great win.

People have some kind of ****** prejudice against Calzaghe.

So you think Roy Jones is no better than Gomez?
