If he fights Valero, I think both might go down, but in the long run, Manny's experience and new found skills will be the end story and Valero will be KOed in the later rounds. That is unless Manny drops some early bombs on him and he can't take them. He went down to light hitting Mosquera. Dunno what's gonna happen when he gets tagged by one of Manny's lightening fast lefts.
No, manny has not achieved what legends have achieved. He lost, drew, and won a suspect fight over Morales, Marquez and Marquez. Hardly legendary. He is building his resume, and challenges like this can only add to his legacy. Beating used up ring old Barrera, and Morales in 2 and 3 fights doesn't make you legendary.

If it happens - what a fight

I would not argue that Manny is one of the top fighters in the world, however if Valero tightens his defense I cannot see manny lasting the fight.

Get it on Arum (no excuses) !

It'd be interesting if Valero can land a punch that puts Pacquiao in trouble and forces him to show us something else for a change.

What it's looking like is Valero is trying to pitch Class C ball and then start in the World Series.

That's bull****. That injury was a long time ago and Valero has been cleared by doctors all over the world. Valero is a deadly puncher and needs to be taken very seriously. All this hype about this being such a terrible mismatch is ridiculous. Valero may get KO'd in the first round, but he is a very dangerous opponent.

His punching power makes him dangerous, thats it. Everything else Im not impressed with. He's got a shot, but I wouldn't bet on him

As sharp as Manny looked at 135, I'd want very good odds to take Valero. But I can imagine a scenario where he wins, as unlikely as it may seem.

For someone who always says he knows his boxing, you do know that all fighters have their controversial marquee fights. PBF has his Castillo1, SRL has his Hagler, Ali has his Norton fights and never rematched Foreman, and im sure SRR has his own critic's nightmares. Pac avenged brutally his loss against Erik, never lost for the record a fight against Marquez, and wtf you saying about old MAB? He pummeled MAB from pillar to post while still in prime.

In 10yrs or so, if PAC maintains his streak for a couple more fights, I'm pretty sure he'll be mentioned alongside ATGs, he's a 5division champ, 6 if he'll pull it off against hatton, a thing only Oscar had done.

Barrera wasn't in his prime when he fought Pacquiao in either fight.
