Flattered? I think ever Taylor fight dating back to the first Hopkins fight was against a former or current world champ. Hopkins, Hopkins, Wright, Ouma, Spinks, Pavlik and Pavlik. Froch fought who in his last seven? I think his biggest win is against Reid and Lacy destroyed Reid.

Froch took the route of working his way up the WBC rankings. This means that he arranged official elimators, then re-arranged them when his opponent pulled out through injury, then had to fight someone when his opponent pulled out yet again. Right now he is more deserving than Taylor.

How exactly does beating 154 guys such as Ouma and Spinks (neither of whom have done anything since then, I guess Taylor ruined them )qualify you for a world title shot at 168?

Taylor would probably beat Froch, but most established guys who have held a title would beat most prospects. Shall we just continually give title shots to the same people over and over? Maybe if Forrest loses to Mora again, he should get a fight with Pavlik.

Froch hasn't had his shot yet....Look at Taylor pre - Hopkins all he had was a shot Joppy really. But his manager had worked him through all the eliminators.

The impression I get with Lacy is that his injury had really effected him. In the Tsypko fight it was a problem for sure and he fought with his left only and I thought that his right arm looked like absolute **** against Manfredo. Maybe I just wanted it to be that way because Im a Lacy fan but if that was the problem and it can be fixed, maybe Lacy can finally impress again versus Mendoza. And if he can, I think he has a shot against Taylor because Taylor is hittable and vulnerable. Of course Taylors quick and powerful shots would also mean trouble for Lacy though.

I see this as a last chance for Lacy, and a semi-soft entry at 168 for Taylor.
If Taylor dominates Lacy, and goes after the title afterwards, its fine by me.
Froch will probably get the title, and then be forced to fight at a new level. Froch is fun, but could do with a few tough opponents before facing Taylor.

Froch is just unlucky with whats going on at the moment, I dont blame Taylor for wanting Lacy first who is a better name than Froch at the moment...This kind of stinks but thats the way boxing is been run at the moment.

Tatlor is a *****. He's taking the easy option of fighting lacy. What is beating jeff lacy going to prove? Lacy is done! I'd love to see froch knock taylor out. Hopefully the cobra still gets a shot at the title against the next ranked contender!
