It's funny how Froch's fans are blaming this situation on Taylor, as though it's his fault that the WBC arbitrarily ranked him as the #2 SMW contender despite the fact that he's not even fought at 168. As though he wants his next fight to be for a belt, which he clearly doesn't. As though he hasn't been saying since for a month before this happened that he is planning on fighting Lacy.

Froch may be a victim here, in the most minor sense of the word, but Taylor's not the one abusing him.

No, you're wrong. Taylor-Lacy has been a possibility for a while now, but Taylor's camp have not ruled out a fight with Froch. You make it sound as if Di Bella has publicly stated that they will not fight Froch, but that's not what he's done. He's still saying that they might take the fight.

Also, I wasn't talking about DiBella, I was talking about Taylor, who said that he wants to fight Lacy first. The same Taylor who said he wanted an immediate rematch with Pavlik even though DiBella advised him against it. The same Taylor that clearly doesn't always listen to Lou Dibella.

The only thing I might have been wrong about is saying Taylor doesn't want to fight for a belt. If Lacy looks terrible or even loses or to Mendoza, Taylor will obviously take the Froch fight. I should have said "fighting for a belt is not his priority." Because if you'd read a few posts above the one you'd quoted, you'd see I made the exact same point about Taylor not ruling out a Froch fight:

Lacy is mentally weak as well, judging from his fights since Calzaghe dismantled him. Just looking at his face in the later rounds of that fight, you could tell he was broken.

Taylor seemed devastated after the second Pavlik fight didn't quite go his way, but I think he'll be hungry again his next time out. He fought far better when going after the middleweight belt than when he was defending it. I can see him doing the same again now that he is no longer the champ.

Froch is ranked #1 by the WBC. Taylor is #2. The commision is wanting a match-up made between these two to determine the WBC champion. Froch is up for the fight, Taylor has other options. That's why Froch is telling Taylors camp not to back down and take the fight.

Froch isn't calling him out. What kind of comment is 'Froch = No balls'? He's been trying to get fights with Calzaghe and Kessler in the past. Inkin backed out of a fight, twice, Berrio turned down the chance, and i also heard Miranda was approached. The man can not get a decent fight to make a career.

How many Froch fights have you actually seen? If you are going by his last performance then you shouldn't be contributing to a Froch thread at all.

Froch deserves at least a chance against a top-tier opponent whether it's for a title or not, and with the WBC behind him to give him that chance, others turning him away are obviously running for a reason. To much risk, little reward. Well now the reward is the WBC title.

Now is the chance to see if Froch is the real deal or not.

JC has already beat Lacy, and Lacy is not all that now. So why do people want to pick on him and bully him?

Im not saying people are scared to fight Froch, but weve waited long enough to see how good he is, or isnt! Otherwise his bandwagon will keep on running and we'll never know. Yes If JT fights Lacy thats all fair enough, but as we all know in boxing, something always crops up and stops fights happening.
JT and Lacy will happen and you can bet your bottom dollar JT and Froch wont happen.
JT will change his mind about Froch or whatever reason!

if i had Taylors abilities i know what i would pick. Taylor could easily beat Froch and win a title in the process. Fighting Lacy doesn't really do anything for him but get a win.

As far as i know Froch and JT have been put forward to fight for a vacated belt. That is why Froch is calling him out. Dont JT want to fight for the belt or what?
WHats this thing with people wanting to spank Lacy. Did they enjoy watching JC use Lacy as a punch bag and want some of the action on Lacy. To use Lacy as a punch bag.
Why are people even talking about Lacy now? JC didnt get credit for beating him, so why do people want a piece of him?
