From what I remember it was after the fight, or maybe I am confused with him getting arrested after the Mayweather fight. Either way why would they let Corrales in the ring? If anyone is sane enough to tell me Corrales was on Floyd's level then It's not even worth debating.

no dude! you really think corrales is mentally soft????????? he wasnt facing hard time. Athletes arent scared of 1 week in jail. They are still millionaires and have everything they had before when they get out a week later. IM sure dudes in there respect and love to talk to a corrales in jail. Plus corrales knew he was going to jail for a little bit. There was nothing to think about he pleaded no contest and accepted his time shortly after the fight. He went in to the floyd fight knowing he was going to plead nc and do a little time. It might have even motivated him even more to train harder one last time!

nah, even if Corrales was unfocused and mentally out of it Mayweather really did a number on him. it was really a flawless fight.

Mayweather would have beaten him anyway, but I think the jail thing explains why Mayweather was able to use him for target practice. dominating someone is one thing, but thats probebly one of the most one sided bouts Ive ever seen. Corrales wasnt even throwing, while Mayweather was landing flush at will

and dont you try that sarcastic tone with me.

N'dou was a lot like Gary Lockett... One unlucky loss. A lot of wins, no one really great on his resume. Cassius Baloyi has a title right now though and N'dou beat him.

Sosa had recently lost to fellow 135 titleholder Spadafora.

Castillo is an incredible win, and I do think that Castillo is the best fighter Floyd has fought, but the closeness of the Castillo fight and the one-sidedness of the Corrales fight puts the Corrales fight as his biggest win for me... easily.

Well I didn't say they went hand in hand, but I was just telling you that you had your history incorrect about the jail thing.

They did cite it in the HBO WCB telecast, so I can't imagine that I am wrong about this.

Corrales screamed at(and later fired) his trainer for throwing in the towel, that shows me that he had the heart and determination necessary to box that night. Corrales looked bad because he had never faced anyone close to Mayweather's level and wasn't expecting Mayweather to pack the punch that he did. He lost because he was fighting the far superior fighter - period.

I dunno, Ive never seen Corrales like that ever. and Corrales was fighting like that before Mayweather even landed a jab to the body or had landed any meaningful punches at all.

This would explain it. and its not just the jail thing, maybe he was still emotionally messed up after realising that he hit his wife. like I said, I need to look into it more...but thats the first and only time Ive seen Corrales like that, and that was the first and only time he has had to go through a court situation like that.
so you cant really blame me for putting them together.

I think it was closer to 9 months than 1 week. I can imagine Corrales would be kind of scared of 9 months in jail.

It has something to do with Mayweather's movement in the ring, everything was brilliant that night. Corrales usual stalking style didn't work on Mayweather, Infact it backfired big time as Mayweather would keep countering him. It was just a horrible styles matchup:
