Pavlik KO's and gets a Unanimous Decision against Taylor isn't that impressive because Taylor looked horrible against Cory (garbage) Spinks and Kassim Ouma who has no power. Pavlik beats a no movement Lockett. I like his Ko style but his recent wins doesn't mean he is in the top 7 P4P like everybody thinks. I would love to see him prove it though against Winky, Abraham, Calzaghe, and maybe even old and wrinkled Bhop.
correction: pavlik ko'd miranda in 7 while abraham ko'd miranda in 16

      Bingo dude.

I recall several writers saying Pavlik would need to fight smart and not let it evolve into a war. But, Pavlik went to war and won all 6 rounds by thumping on Miranda and eating Miranda's best shots (some were dead clean) before that KO finish.

The big news was the KO, but the understory was that Kelly switched-up from being a pure, heavy handed boxer and instead met Miranda head on at his own game, and walked all over the guy.

Yeah, I just mentioned that in Post #36.

I'm really amazed to see how many AA fans are taking this Miranda win as a sign he's ready to be "World Beater". Sure, I like his power and his obvious toughness in fighting with a busted jaw in that first fight, but, please, the guy's going to have his limitations seriously exposed when he faces his first true top-tier Middle in Pavlik.

Should be a fantastic bout when it is made, still contemplating who will come out on top though.

But isn't a lot of Pavlik's reputation based on beating Miranda too?

I started the thread out because I believe Pavlik is overrated. Not by alot(he is in my #9 P4P fighter) And AA KO of Miranda in 4 helps my argument out. Can I get that # now?

More of it is from beating Taylor twice. Who else has Abraham beat exactly?

That is horrible logic honestly, just because it took fighter A longer to knockout fighter B than fighter C, doesn't make fighter A overrated.
