Nah, i'd say fighting OLH and wanting to fight Hatton instead of fighting worthy Welterweight opponents doesn't warrant ATG. Maybe ATG top 10.

I'm sure Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran wouldn't have followed the money either.

I seem to remember Leonard not fighting Pryor. Leonard was criticized for it and still is. If Mayweather hadn't fought Hatton, he would have been criticized. There was no reason for Leonard to rematch Hearns so why did he do that?

I'd take a prime Pernell over Mayweather so I don't think so.

Pavlik!? You are taking this way too far. Pavlik would brutally KO Floyd. The size difference would be too much.

Hence why it would be an incredibly impressive crowning achievement on an already excellent career.

                      Simple question.
What would Leonard have done if he was approximately 30 and fighting in this era?
In that vein, what would Duran or Hearns do?
Would any one of them have fought the same fights as Floyd in the last few years?
Even if they had, what would the results have been?
Every single one of them would have taken aim at ANYBODY who was being described as the best. You know damn well that all of them would have gone for Winky at 154. They would have taken a shot at Pavlik (and Duran would have been beaten) because he was undisputed at middleweight.
I'll give you that they would have gone for DLH but rematching after a clear victory?
Those guys are great because they strove for greatness. The challenged themselves. They sought out fights where the outcome was seriously in doubt.
You don't need to have a loss on your tally to be great.
You need to have sought out REAL challenges.
