Give Floyd a chance to be the greatest : Please

General consensus: No matter what Floyd does, he can't rise above top 10 or top 5 ATG status!.

I find this a joke.

What SRR had in attack, Floyd has in defence. And he doesn't have anywhere near the defence that Floyd has.

Floyd lacks in attack compared to these ATG's but his defence makes up for it.

By the time Floyd retires i think he will probably beat:

- De La Hoya 2
- Cotto

Than another big name, or 2.

If he does this, to me hes up there with all 3 ATG's.

Possibly the greatest of all.

Don't let hate, or ******ity towards history blind you from this outstanding career. History and records are there to be broken. Floyd is that guy!

Yer Floyd is obviously a great boxer. Would have like to seen him fight Morales, Kostya and Mosley though, I believe he would have beaten them all.

The funny thing is...he wanted Kosta , Oscar and mosley back in the day.

A fact is that Floyd only moved up in weight to pursue a fight with Oscar.

Floyd should give HIMSELF a chance to be the greatest. Cotto/Margarito winner would be a start. You don't become the GREATEST of all time by avoiding the big fights. No matter HOW MUCH you've already proven, you take on all comers. That's that. He wants to be the best business-man in boxing, that's fine.

But these are two seperate claims.

To be the best, you fight the best opponents. PERIOD.

He can claim it'll happen, but until then... HE'S not giving HIMSELF a chance.

Margarito would give Floyd all kinds of difficulty. Guy has an extreme chin.

Floyd would see those shots a mile away and the fight would get stopped on cuts...Margarito would get batterd by Floyd...I used to think Marg could do some things against Floyd but I just dont see it anymore.

i actually reckon a prime kostya (the version that KO'd judah) could beat floyd
