Both men were hyped. Willaims being the most hyped one for Tony.

In a way yea Tony is more hyped now.. Just because of his win over Golden Schlong and the destruction of the one dimensional Kermit Cinton.

I think the idea here is that this is not a match up that can not be fought entirely based on tactics. The loss to Williams was a loss based on tactics, it didn't really take much away much from Margarito except that he was a dufus for starting late. I don't think anyone thinks that Cotto wins this on tactics. That's why it would be a bigger win.

Well he is still the same person.. and still presents the same problems stylewise that he will always present.. Paul Williams outhustled him and it worked.. This time.. I did Notice that Williams was in NO Hurry to rematch Margarito.. And I am not so sure Williams would win a Rematch..
But to stay on Topic..
Margarito is not a finesse boxer.. So being able to out box him is not the question.. But, being able to beat him is.. He presents a very Formidable task
That Only a perfect fight will do..
Wether You name is Williams Cotto or Mayweather.. Having this Guy's scalp on your resume is an achivement and it brings some prestiege..

It should not make you P4P unless you already are.. then it will add to your status

As an individual fight no one win makes a fighter the Man at a weight. However as a body of work, Cotto has separated himself from the other WW contenders to be the clear #1 contender. A win over a belt holder (vacated) like Margarito would solidify that postition as the #1 contender at WW.
