How can u call yourself a fan of the sport, when all u do is make excuses for which why Floyd SHOULDNT fight Cotto until Cotto becomes a mainstream star? How does that benefit u as a fan? As i've stated several times before, fighters have advisors, lawyers, managers, and promoters to worry about all of thier financial and career moves. Will it make the fight any better for us if Floyd was to make $20mil instead of $12mil? If us fans who purchase the ppv were in line to recieve a percentage of the ppv revenue, then i would understand your stance, but we're not. So stfu about money already.

You wont find one, I even in this thread stated I want to see the fight, so its not like anyone is taking up for Floyd, but I understand his point. Its not different than two and a half years ago when Ricky priced himself out of a fight with Floyd when he asked for 13 million, because he knew it was an event, a once in a lifetime thing, same thing Floyd does at this point in his career, he is taking on huge events, so that means fighting Cotto when it is at its peak, the biggest event possible. Only logical and sensible people understand this.

I'm 100% with you there but what you're doing is supporting the business side as if you were getting a piece of the pot! If you pay $60 to watch a fight you want it to be entertaining and you want the fighter you paid for to fight the best possible opponent out there! If you think otherwise you're NO GOOD for the sport of boxing!!!

Understanding it is totally different from Supporting it, Support it would be me buying into a dumb fight like Mayweather/Oscar 2. But i understand why he would want to fight oscar again(Money), That doesnt mean i agree with his choice.

No Cotto Fan cant find a post where a Floyd Fans Say that Floyd Should not Fight Cotto...Boxing Fans are giving HISTORY AND REASON into why the fight hasnt happen...

were being used against Floyd vs. Oscar

Some Floyd Fans are just using the same standard and credible stipulations Place on Floyd...to fight Oscar....

On Cotto vs. Floyd ..

That's just how it goes...

Us Floyd fans had to wait 6 years for Floyd to Fight Oscar...
So how you think we felt about that....

But we didnt ***** and complain as bad as you cotto fans are doing...
We just set back as we watch Our fighter stack up victories and boost his market appeal and boxing prestige so he could get a fight with Oscar...

We Waited 6 years for the fight to happen....
and when it happen we were vindicated....and we rubbed it in Oscar Fans Faces....

Soo.....now you Cotto fans know how it feels to be fan of a fighter when credible stipulations and standards are put on your fighter as to why he might not fight another fighter THAT YOU WANT HIM TO FIGHT

So basically it is ok for Oscar to make Floyd meet all his stipulations and standards... which amounted in Floyd waiting for 6 years....For Oscar to fight Floyd

and it is ok that SRL made Hagler Wait until he meet all his stipulations and standards... which amounted in Hagler waiting for 7 years For the SRL vs. Hagler fight to happen

But it is not ok for Floyd to make Cotto meet all his stipulations and standards... before the Floyd vs. Cotto fight can happen..!!

Double Standard once again....


But here is the common factor in any those situations,
1. the fight eventually happen
2. When the fight happen it was the biggest thing in Boxing....!!!


So why Cant Floyd follow a successful Format...!!

When people post here that first "Cotto has to call Floyd out" or that "Cotto has to dump his promoter", that's basically the same thing to me. The first one is a pitiful excuse not to fight and the second one is a ridiculous request.

Let me make sure i understand the question. Are u saying that there are certain fanboys here who HAVEN'T said that "Floyd shouldnt fight Cotto until Cotto becomes a mainstream star/Major PPV draw?"

By implying that Floyd should wait till Cotto becomes a mainstream star, they are saying that Cotto isnt a ppv draw, and therefore brings nothing to the table for Floyd.

If you are saying that not 1 poster here hasnt said that, then all u have to do is look up posts from Horus, Burner, Moin126, Money May, and the rest of the "lifestyle flashy/Coalition fanboys. There u will find the answer to your question.

Brother youre right on point and youre from Europe, many wont say the things you say, its pure logic. But when you have fans who are only thinking about their personal entertainment of watching a specific fight you will get responses like that. Id rather Floyd fight someone other than Oscar, but I understand.
