He was top 3 p4p and was the best in the lightheavyweight division, it dosent matter if Joe beats Glen Johnson or Chad Dawson. They are not in the same league as Hopkins.
Hopkins looked good against Tarver, but the Winky fight was horrible. Hopkins is clearly past his prime. I would give Calzaghe more credit if he dominated or tKOed Hopkins but he didn't and that means Calzaghe isn't all that great, just a little bit greater than this senior citizen version of Benard Hopkins.

There is nobody out there in the division right now who can knock out hopkins or win a loopsided decision IMO
His defensive capabilities will make any top fighter look mediocre, add his constant use of the headbutt and clinching how exactly did anyone expect Joe to look good?

I give credit to Joe because nobody ever pressured Hopkins like he did, and contrary to popular belief among the haters he did land some pretty solid shots.
Hopkins fought dirty, never had the balls to get into the centre of the ring and exchange, fought on his homeground, used every mindgame in the book to rattle Joe but at the end of the day the better man won.
Joe dosen't deserve this **** period.

and he DID win,to say he didnt is delusional foreman and ledderman had it right

and we all know no one looks good against the former con,its one bad performance in a near perfect career but in the end he got the job done,im sure he will more than make up for it in his next one.
why are you pretending this is the greatest upset ever when calzaghe was over a 3 to 1 favorite.

Because Hopkins is 86 years old and showed how washed up he was against Tarver and Wright. Plus Bernard's ranking as the best LHW in the world and #4 p4p was clearly vastly overrated.

With 2501 everything comes back to Floyd Mayweather.

If you're a Mayweather fan then there's got to be something you've said that isn't consistent. No matter what it is we're talking about Mayweather has to come up in the argument because that's 2501's guilt by association card. And if you're anything less than impressed by a top fighter hold your hat because 2501 is NOT impressed by a handful of Mayweather's fights. So, how do you like that!?!

If you're not a Mayweather fan then whatever...that's good because neither is he. Just so you know...

Yup. Crazy that in order to win some people's respect Joe has to do what no-one has ever done and might very well be impossible.
