preaching about ppv numbers may not be the most importnat thing in boxing as far as legacy goes and actual fighting, but it is very important when talking about getting fans to make boxing big again. it shows you how important a fighter is to many people, and how warranted a fight is, so it is very important to say the least. fights aren't just for the fans in attendance, ppv numbers in this generation are very important. boxing's a business as well as an artform.
see, this is all spin. all pure ****ing spin. you equate Floyd's numbers are fans becoming interested in boxing with is not the actual truth. Floyd is great at selling fights but poor at keeping them interested once they've sampled the product. it is the sole reason why he works so hard to sell a fight. its the reason why he wont fight anyone that may not have an established fan base.

this isnt floyd hate what im doing here but giving my honest opinion on the actual churn rate when it comes to fans who buy PPV events. the only way Floyd will actually help grow boxing is if he loves it and actually cares about the sport in general rather than just his pocketbook.

pbfsex316 is not a boxing fan, she does not want to see good fights, she wants floyd to make money and retire happy, she would rather see floyd on wwe making money and in good health rather than see him in a fight.

wow, i really don't know how to take this. anyway, if your mother really does have aids, i am very praying for her to fight it the best she can, i mean this very seriously. if she doesn't have aids, and you're just bashing her, then shame on you.

what spin? this is what i'm talking about kid. don't read my posts without keeping an open mind. i was talking about ppv numbers in general, not just how floyd sells a fight, but how every fighter sells a fight. you bash floyd's fighting style like his style isn't appreciated by many fans. many people buy floyd fights to see him lose, this is another reason why people purchase ppv. floyd works hard to sell ppvs? yes he does, just like a tyson did, de la hoya did, with his never say die attitude and outside persona, hell, just like mayorga does. floyd latching onto big draws has nothing to do with how he sells fights, because he was selling fights his whole career, just like he's doing now, trust me. he's not fighting anyone that hasn't established a fanbase because of his name. think about it, he's in the position he's in right now, being the number p4p fighter in boxing, not because of how he sells ppvs, it's because od who he beat and his skillset. so, now he wants big fights, that's it, he's fought to the top and he wants to make the fights he's in bigger and bigger just like a de la hoya whe he was active fighting hopkins, mosley, vargas, and trinidad. they all had moderately huge fanbases. floyd wants to make history with the biggest fights possible and draw fans into boxing at the same time making his name bigger and greater, just like oscar did, tyson did, ali did. i don't see a spin at all. he does care about the sport, open your mind kid.

what the hell is potential in my kid mean? that's not what i typed in. i see potential in you kid, meaning you have the ability to post good posts with logical reasoning, but as why i read more of your responses to me, that potential is slowly diminishing. you're starting to confuse the living **** out me.

No he hasn't, that's bull****. It's arguments such as that which make people like Burner and Horus so annoying.

"Floyd has the right not to fight the best or give the fans what they want to see, his wins over Casamayor, Freitas, Tszyu and other prove this".

It's arguments like the above that give all Floyd fans a bad name (although Floyd himself is responsible for that too). Floyd has never dominated a weight division. Floyd has never been the undisputed champion. Floyd has never cleaned out a division, and has neglected to fight the top opposition on more than one occasion. Burner and Horus seem like the sort of people who spent more time listening to Floyd's crap, watching 24/7, wrestlemania and Dancing With The Stars over and over again rather than watching actual boxing.

When there is a great fight such as Pacquiao vs JMM, Floyd lovers are nowhere to be seen. Would they ever watch boxing if Floyd didn't exist?

honestly, you expect people to debate with you or entertain a thread with you with an "open mind", but your perspective om how the world and general fans is completely warped.

If I were to ask you what fight would be better for the sport of Boxing, any of the Vazquez/Marquez fights or DLH/Mayweather, Im sure you would pick the second.
