Oh but back then PPV sales didnt matter as much did they? Being a draw and well known didnt exactly matter did it? Not that Quintana/Williams was held in a ball room or anything...

But now PPV numbers do matter. You have to be a draw to face the great Mayweather. So was Williams more deserving because his style looks cool? Is it because he's black?

    Which is it?
Twas smoke and mirrors, we all saw this.

A huge freak at Welterweight disposing of sub par opposition. The times he stepped up (Tony, Quintana) he escaped a tough fight where he faded in the second half; scores should have been closer............and he was totally pot shotted and outclassed in the other.

all horus ever really talks about is ppv buys like if that is more interesting than the actuall fights.the fighters should be the only ones that care about the money aspect of the game not the fans, that i know of the fans don't get p.c

you didn't finish your last sentence in the 1st paragraph, so i'll wait until you do that before i argue with you over it. anyway, you look a little contradictary when you claim my perspective on the world and general fans is warped, yet, your perspective on what fight i would pick over the other when you really don't know me is totally warped. it's your assumption though. anyway, everybody has their own persoanl style of combat they enjoy. i happen to enjoy both of those fights, and seeing how oscar lost his title to floyd via sd, even though i believe it was by clear ud, the rematch is warranted and the buildup will be entertaining imo also. but, seeing how it appears you like a bloody war between to skilled warriors, i could see you picking the 1st one eveytime, because you feel it leaves the fans satisfied, even though oscar and floyd broke all perivious pp sales records with their fight, so many people would chosse oscar/floyd fighting over vazquez/merquez, i would choose them both, and as far as one being better for the sport of boxing, well that's subjective choosing isn't it kid? they both are good for the sport of boxing, and they both proved it in their own way, one was a war between 2 warriors, the other was battle between 2 great fighters, one being the best, the other being a legend and an icon. they both were great for the sport and the ppv/attendance numbers and the actual fight showed it didn't it?

They never give a fighter their due respect if they are not black... and lord forbid a Rican, Mexican or White boy beat a black athlete with them.. they on some black supremecist bull****.

"Floyd has the right not to fight the best or give the fans what they want to see, his wins over Casamayor, Freitas, Tszyu and other prove this".

It's arguments like the above that give all Floyd fans a bad name (although Floyd himself is responsible for that too). Floyd has never dominated a weight division. Floyd has never been the undisputed champion. Floyd has never cleaned out a division, and has neglected to fight the top opposition on more than one occasion. Burner and Horus seem like the sort of people who spent more time listening to Floyd's crap, watching 24/7, wrestlemania and Dancing With The Stars over and over again rather than watching actual boxing.

When there is a great fight such as Pacquiao vs JMM, Floyd lovers are nowhere to be seen. Would they ever watch boxing if Floyd didn't exist?
They'd probably still watch, it just wouldn't be as fun. lol I think Mayweather has earned the right to take what fights he wants. When he was starting out he couldn't but now he can because he has the marketability. Its not like Cotto is a mandatory. I'm sure Cotto was aware when he went after his belt a mandatory fight against Mayweather would fly out the window. Was Cotto the one that made that decision based on money he would make as WBA champion? Ultimately is was. He should have just stayed a contender, IMO. Then a fight would have been forced between the two. I don't think Cotto wants to fight Mayweather nearly as bad as we all want to see it, and it shows in his actions. Cotto doesn't really call out Mayweather, his fans do. I believe Mayweather will take on Cotto in his last fight which will be huge.

I figured out Horus's secret of making long ass paragraphed posts.

He stole one of my talking points that I posted on a youtube video and copy pasted it as one of his own ideas. He never thought the guy who wrote that on youtube would post here.

                    He is Not even original.
