Taylor was ****** up after he fought Pavlik big time. Big time. Calzaghe tends to swing wide when he throws those flurries at the end of rounds to score points, leaving himself open. Not a good look.

To me, Pavlik's chin was tested when he stood there with Taylor, so you can't tell me that Calzaghe's "flurries" are going to hurt or sting Pavlik. I don't see it happening.

Bottom line, Pavlik has what it will take to hurt Calzaghe and knock him off his game plan. Calzaghe has those flurries where a lot of them don't land clean anyway.

My money's still on Pavlik. I've been wrong before, but I can't see Pavlik losing unless he's paid under the table to throw the fight.
I couldn't have worded it any better if I tried. You got to remember when you're talking with homers you get no where.

actually i think this is argueably the best fight each could make right now (yes...even more than calzaghe fighting stictly a NAME in RJJ)...

it would be a close fight in my opinion and an interesting one at that...definately ppv worthy...

both provide the type of excitement fans love...calzaghe likes to use a ton of punches and pavlik has some top notch power...good stuff in my opinion.

I like how you felt the need to dissect my post like that. Must have really hit a nerve.

Your personal jabs at me are based on words I've typed, you realize that, don't you? You don't know me outside of this board, so please don't make yourself look silly by saying things like "Pity you didn't watch some fights of Calzaghe other than Hops before commenting." because you don't know what I've seen. You only know the information I've given you. Why would I be on a boxing website and bothering to create a profile and post if I didn't have my own opinions of the sport and it's fighters? Let's concentrate on the topic of the thread, hun?

Besides, I don't have the type of time it would take to break down my analysis of each and every fighter just to prove my opinion of this proposed match-up. There are other threads I would like to read and I'm watching the Spurs-Lakers game at the same time.

Since you mentioned the Kessler-Calzaghe fight, let me state that nothing about that fight leads me to believe that Calzaghe would beat Pavlik. Nothing.

I still say that flurries by Calzaghe are going to be enough to beat a guy like Pavlik who has the concentration to not take himself out of the fight in later rounds.

I was just referred to this site like 3 days ago, sweetie.

And I'm not worried about "points", trust.

I have no clue how it is possible to arrive at that opinion. Care to enlighten me?

Pavlik's only chance in this fight is if it turns out that his power is not only good, but magnificent Calzaghe's all around game will overwhelm him unless Kelly can literally stop him in his tracks. It might be possible, but it seems to me be a pretty distant outside shot.

What do you think, that Kelly Pavlik is going to walk through the man who is undefeated in his career and the Ring Champ at BOTH the weight classes above him?

I'm not here for a bitching session, if you have an opinion you can explain, then post it.

calzaghe fights going forward, pavlik fights going forward

                      pavliks power>>>>>>>> calzaghes power

calzaghe can only beat his opponent if they start backing up

the day we see pavlik backing up is the day we have world peace

look at miranda, taylor, zertuche they tagged pavlik good but they

couldnt back him up I highly doubt calzaghe will back pavlik up

with a so-so punch and injured hands pavlik Tko
