Yes you did, and it was a good read.

I'll go with Calzaghe for an easy decision. KO? No way. Joe's knocked out his last opponent. (Unless his next fight is Peter Manfredo II).

        Against the Grain...

...I'm going to with Pavlik on this match simply because he stood there and took Jermaine Taylor's punches twice and Taylor punches hard. And I cannot see Calzaghe lasting against Taylor either...not in the least.

I know he won against Hopkins (which was suspect to me) but the fight Calzaghe made his name off of was against Jeff Lacy, who is a few fights away from being a vegetable like Gatti. Not quality if you ask me.

So my faux-money goes to Pavlik.

I like Pavlik, he's a tough S.O.B and he can **** but Joe would have to much. He's far more versatile and would out box em after gettin tagged a few times early on. Kelly as good as he is really only has the big 1-2, Joe too smart and skilled for that. Plus the speed difference would be huge and Zag has the natural size advantage

            A) Hopkins was always going to be a style nitemare for Joe, as he was for Roy.
            B) Lacy - say what you want he's still number 5 in the division, deserves to be lower, but top 10 regardless. He was so out beaten in every area by Joe it was ridiculous, what does that tell you?
            C) It's flawed at best using Pavlik taking some hard shots off Taylor as a reason for Joe not likely to beat him. Few predict Joe winning by power, TKO, KO, or even with a KD. His hands are fooked, it's all on points.

I do not see how someone can score points if they are getting ****** up. Has Calzaghe's chin even been tested? Has he fought a hard-hitter? I would say Hopkins, but I have my own theory on that one.

Taylor was ****** up after he fought Pavlik big time. Big time. Calzaghe tends to swing wide when he throws those flurries at the end of rounds to score points, leaving himself open. Not a good look.

To me, Pavlik's chin was tested when he stood there with Taylor, so you can't tell me that Calzaghe's "flurries" are going to hurt or sting Pavlik. I don't see it happening.

Bottom line, Pavlik has what it will take to hurt Calzaghe and knock him off his game plan. Calzaghe has those flurries where a lot of them don't land clean anyway.

My money's still on Pavlik. I've been wrong before, but I can't see Pavlik losing unless he's paid under the table to throw the fight.

You didn't talk about Pavliks power. Now you have though, a slight point but you've mostly underlined your ignorance on Calzaghe even more.

Has Calzaghe's chin even been tested? Has he fought a hard-hitter? I would say Hopkins, but I have my own theory on that one.
See, oh dear. Go and watch the Kessler fight, whose as hard a hitter as Hopkins if not more, and landed some much harder shots, upper cuts, that didn't phase Joe. He's taken lots of big shots in his time, even when he's been knocked down by some he's gotten right back up. Mitchell said he hit Calzaghe the hardest he'd hit anyone, Calzaghe was up in seconds and knocked him out.

Taylor was ****** up after he fought Pavlik big time. Big time. Calzaghe tends to swing wide when he throws those flurries at the end of rounds to score points, leaving himself open. Not a good look.
Possibly your first decent point. Calzaghe takes shots at various angles, which is a big pro. Now, a con can be he can be left open, ok. But he's pretty clever, he adapts his footwork, stance, defence so to suite, and he takes big shots ok anyway so.

To me, Pavlik's chin was tested when he stood there with Taylor, so you can't tell me that Calzaghe's "flurries" are going to hurt or sting Pavlik. I don't see it happening.
Pity you didn't watch some fights of Calzaghe other than Hops before commenting. Again, few say Joe will seriously hurt Pavlik, so you don't watch Calzaghe or read widely agreed aspects on him such as his lack of power, mostly due to his brittle hands. Power isn't everything in boxing you know, there's many other aspects such as jab, speed, defence, footwork, skill, reflexes, game plans. These are big pro's of Calzaghe's and is why most agree he'll beat Pavlik on points. I suggest you read that over a few times, as Judge Judy would say; your not receiving.

Bottom line, Pavlik has what it will take to hurt Calzaghe and knock him off his game plan. Calzaghe has those flurries where a lot of them don't land clean anyway.
Oh dear, refer to earlier statements, you don't watch, read or listen kid.

My money's still on Pavlik. I've been wrong before, but I can't see Pavlik losing unless he's paid under the table to throw the fight.
Been wrong before you say, learn much from it? Paid under the table to throw it, jeez you must be teenage. I'll gladly bet with you, as I'm sure will many.

Quit being a bunch of politically correct phags. Pavlik KO's slappy easily.
