  • He'll win like at least 8 against James, no doubt.

    • Eubank -Past his prime
Kessler- Great win for Calzaghe over a great opponent and champion. His best win to date over a prime fighter.
      Lacy- Great win
      Hopkins- Past his prime

No losses- Because he hasn't fought the best, especially no one as good as Toney's opposition. There is no comparison in resumes. Toney clearly has the better one.

good thing this fight is at Super Middleweight then, right?

lets put it this way. Choose Calzaghe's best performance. then choose James Toney's best performance at 168. take the guy from each fight and match them up.

after all, this is prime vs prime, not I had trouble making weight Toney vs I ate toxic food Calzaghe

He wouldn't win any and I'm being honest, especially if Toney is at his 100% best.Too squared up after he trows, to vulnerable to lead right hands, not enough power and doesn't turn over on his punches properly. All of the ingredients for disaster when you are fighting a peak James Toney and all the things that he is a master at taking advantage of.

I am not arguing that Toney has the better resumé just like I wasn't arguing that Bhop has the better resumé. I am arguing that Toney won't beat Calzaghe. Toney can have an off night just like that, but let's assume he's at his best. I don't think he'll be able to deal with Cal's quick combos and inside out footwork.

                • I actually see it like the Jones fight and even if Toney showed up in great shape against Jones I still think he losses the majority of rounds.

                    • Nunn - Great fighter that was a 22 to 1 favorite going into the fight and was unbeaten at 36-0 at time time.
                      Mccullum - very good
Barkley - Won titles in 3 different weight divisions and had two wins over Tommy Hearns
John Ruiz - WBA heavyweight champion that has impressive wins on his record like Golata, Rachman, Holyfield and Oquendo.
Jirov - Undisputed cruiser weight champion that was 31-0 at the time and James was also moving up in weight.

                      This is legendary stuff kid.
