    Lacy. 2006.

EDIT: I should add, that was the first KD of Lacy's career.

I agree but all I want to see is Joe get exposed for the fraud the he is and Tarver has a much better chance then Roy.

Not to underrate Calzaghe or Lacy, but Lacy hadn't been in with anyone live to that point. No, Omar Sheika does not count.

If you look back to Casamayor-Katsidis, Katsidis is dropped twice in the first round but manages to maintain his legs well. It's conditioning that keeps your legs strong, which explains why his legs weren't strong later in the fight and he couldn't survive.

Calzaghe was rocked, flash or none, he had to regain his footing. It was a text-book southpaw killer straight right hand.

Look, you're a kid, or if you're not, you act like one. You appear to have a very limited knowledge of boxing. If you don't understand how much of a tough nut Eubank was for a young Calzaghe with only 21 or so fights under his belt, almost a decade before the Lacy fight, and the fact that Calzaghe dropped him right near the start of the round when Nigel Ben had been trying to put Chris down for years, there is little to no point in continuing this conversation.

Go back, study Calzaghe's career a little bit, watch as many fights as you can, then we can maybe talk some sense.

Watch the fight again man, you overhyped that shot from Bernard.

It's not his victory over Hopkins why I'm saying what I said, it's the fact he's been knocked down only 3 times in 18 years or more. He took massive right handers from Reid all night, from Eubank also, huge uppercuts from Kessler, and various other points in his career. Not once did he look like getting KO'd.

It seems to me you haven't studied Calzaghe at all. Probably seen what, 3 fights? I've been watching him for probably about 11 years or so now, and following boxing in general since 1977. I haven't seen many better chins than Calzaghe's in that time.

PS: I still think that knockdown in the Hopkins fight wasn't a clean knockdown by any means. Nice shot, but 'nard rushes forward with his head as though he was gonna butt Calzaghe. That contributed to the reason why Calzaghe touched the canvas for a second. And literally about 1 second.
11 posts??? Calzaghe got dropped for 1 second, his hand on the canvas, because Hopkins rushed in his with head?? Your credibility is now shot, remove Calzaghe's Welsh Sausage from your mouth and come back tomorrow. Dismissed.

                  Asian,

Who has Tarver knocked out with one punch besides Roy Jones?

Tarver can not land more than one punch at a time on Zaghe and unless he he closes his eyes and throws another left hook that lands right on the chin, he can't beat Zaghe in a boxing ring.

                      I can sense the hostility

I have no idea what you're trying to say about Chris Eubank or Nigel Benn here, and what dropping Eubank has to do with this.

I understand your thesis, which appears to be that Calzaghe is the best ever, using a first round knockdown of Chris Eubank by Calzaghe with only 21 fights as your supporting details. I just don't get what this has to do with the knockdown Hopkins scored on Calzaghe in round 1.
