There are no excuses in boxing, except for flash knockdowns, but I've seen Tarver look better.

Hey can smb help me out with smth here about the Cal vs Bhop fight?

I was watching it and I noticed that Hopkins was getting tired despite being very economical. What's this based on? Is it age? I mean he wasn;t tired against either Winky or Tarver and he was defenitely less economical against these two. I don;t understand why he got tired. Was it his back foot cramping or did he just expand too much nervous energy trying to set up traps and stuff like that?

Any meaningful insight will be greatly appreciated.

Tarver deserves the fight and Joe should give it to him, but Roy has a better chance of winning

The pace of the fight was too fast for him. After about the fourth round Joe stayed right on top of him, which is why Joe tired him and therefore won. Simple

Lacy to be the favorite because Calzaghe looked stale in the Salem fight previous to Lacy
Wow was that what you made you judgement on Asia?
**** mine was made up because Lacy was destroying eveything in his path
and sparked Robin Reid out something which Joe could not do
thats what i made my judgement on...

Anyhow Tarver nah just dosent cut it for me
and for a buying audience which mostly are gonna be british
most havent a clue who Tarver is the general casual fans
they just no him from that rocky movie if they know him at all..
Now Roy Jones massive name here because of his destruction on
clinton woods and also the mans a legend.
Coming off Hopkins Jones is perfect and if Joe is feeling up to it after that
            and Tarver is still winning..

            Then Him

Maybe JC's slaps are much harder than they look?!! Maybe JC once again reduced his opponent to 'useless', all except for a big right hand in attempt to KO him once they realized nothing else has a chance of working? Who knows! The saga continues...

Yeah it is simple and it makes sense. I am trying to think of a fighter that was putting as much pressure on Bhop but I can't come up with a name.

That;s what I was thinking too cause my bud was giving me hell about Zaghe's slaps and I was telling him that Hopkins was giving too much respect to the slapper.

                    Here's an interesting fact:
Calzaghe has never faced a southpaw in his pro career.
Although he allegedly KO'd Chris Byrd in the amateurs.

Tarver is more deserving, but A fight with jones make more sense financially and for the boxing fan, I think Tarver has a tiny chance to beat him while Roy might pull it off. I'd favor Joe in both fights though, especially Tarver who is one lazy mother****er in the ring, Joe's workrate would drain the milk dud.
