Do you really think Floyd will take the fight for $13M? I don't know. After making as much as he did last year, on two fights alone, he's probably only looking for the huge paydays (like a rematch with Oscar). I believe I read on ESPN that Mayweather made almost $60M on his two fights last year. That's huge money! I don't think Floyd would get out of bed for less than $20M.

As for Tito, he's always had more of a following in PR and NY than Cotto. When was the last time you saw the governor declare a national holiday after a Cotto win? Tito got one after the Oscar victory. Also, his first retirement parade drew close to 1 million people out to the streets. Cotto doesn't get that kind of love.

    I do know America.

Just because ESPN touts a match doesn't mean the public will be out there ready to purchase it. Hatton was well known here and a big deal was made when he fought Castillo so that more Americans would pay attention to him.

You say it will easily match the buys PBF-Hatton did but I doubt 650,000 people in the UK will be buying this fight. Even if it matches the US sales, there is not enough money to give Floyd $20M and keep Miguel happy.
Does Floyd make any of the money from the PPV buys in the UK?

I watched The World Awaits with about 15 people, and nobody knew who either guy was. They just watched it because it was "the thing to do" that weekend. ESPN says watch this big fight its important. Pople see that, word spreads, "hey I hear there is a big fight going on this weekend" and so on.

Today, after people realized what she was about, she is the one that doesn't receive much love. In fact, police had escort her out of the most popular shopping mall in Puerto Rico because people were starting to mob her.
Tito defines that puerto rican passion, Cotto is quite the opposite in his demeanor. Even during the Jones-Trinidad fight, there were interviews with Puerto Rican fans saying that Trinidad is more beloved than Cotto. It doesnt mean much, but if youre saying Cotto gets the same love Trinidad did then that has to be false.

Trinidad is more loved in Puerto Rico, up to this point in history, than Miguel Cotto. No arguing about that, what I'm saying is that there was much more about the parade than "Tito love". This was a government publicity stunt to cash in on both Puerto Rican triumphs and make people forget the sorry state of affairs in the island.

And, for arguments sake, specially about "Puerto Rican passion", history is not going to hit Trinidad and his dad softly, it will hit him harder than Hopkins, specially the comments about Cotto (he's the prince, but I'm the king), Ruiz (he's not a real Puertorican, I'm a the real Puertorican), suppossed humbleness, and the little known fact that he supported a pro-Puertorican-statehood politican in the early nineties, along with Alex "El Nene" Sánchez.

Tu te crees que yo no sabia eso?

Of course I knew that. Even though it was a combination of factors, had it been Miguel Cotto today and Sila were still in power, there would be no holiday.

And there is no denying the multitude of people that came out for the Tito parade when he first announced his retirement. You remember how crazy that **** was by the Hiram Bithorn?

When it happened the 1st time, very high. Hatton had a lot of things in his style which gave him a great chance. He made PBF fight as I predicted, but againts PBF many of his nice assets (coming with angles, lateral movement, a varied array of punches) were nowhere to be seen.

As it is now, after PBF outhattoned Ricky on the inside, there is not much of a point. Cotto is a much more interesting fight in terms of outcome, but the Hatton rematch is still going to be very eventful for a PBF fight.

                      LOL

Oscar is a natural welterweight, obviously you dont know the story of his 130-135 venture, or you would shut the hell up.

Having seen Oscar-Shane 2 would have also prompted you not post this typr pf bull****.

The young titleholders might be better than Shane, just as they might be better than Oscar.

Now go and watch some fights. Run a few miles to take out your silly aggression while you are at it.
