Cotto could barely do 200,000 against Judah, and the 400,000 that bought the Mosley card did so mostly for Shane (as he'd had over 420,000 against a washed up Vargas).

I think a Mayweather - Cotto PPV card, if it happened this summer, would probably get 500,000 PPV buys, and that's not enough to pay Floyd even the same money he made against Hatton and DLH ($25Million and $35Million, respectively), mostly because of PPV buys. Mayweather-Hatton sold 850,000 PPVs in the US, and another 650,000 in the UK and around the world. That's 1.5Million PPV buys. There is no way Cotto has that drawing power.

Then you dont know America. This will be all over ESPN and HBO. The casual fan watches what ever ESPN tells them too. Hatton was not well known in the U.S. before the Mayweather fight. His fights were low rated.

This will easily match the buys he did with Hatton. It's all about promotion. "Mayweather's biggest challenge." "Biggest Welterweight fight since Tito/Oscar", etc.

            Here is the translation:

"I don't like to talk about Mayweather, because he has yet to face a true welter, and I don't know if he ever will. On the other hand, Cotto faced the best at 140 and is now facing the best at 147. That's why he's my favorite."

            On Cotto-Gómez:

"He needs to stay active, and you have to remember that he closed 2007 with two very big, difficult fights, so he needs an easier fight, at least on paper. That's not wrong, and it's not something that will stop his momentum or affect his legacy. It will not be a bad fight. Cotto has to keep himself busy and the pressure is on him, since he's the big favorite"

            On Cotto:

"He's my favorite boxer right now."
So let me this straight. He is praising Cotto for fighting Judah but is critical of Mayweather fighting Judah.

Oh really? Funny that he fought 160 pounds Baldomir, for the lineal welterweight title, and then foght 160 Oscar at 154.

oh really, let's see what the division has to offer

Gomez: a welterweight? yes... the best? at what?
Mosley: former lightweight, 36 years old, who did not win a title fight in ages
Judah: former superlightweight, coming off two losses and a 14 months layoff
Urkal: former superlightweight contender, 37 years old
Quintana: yes he is a young prime, welterwight, what went wrong since then, Mr. Arum?

I thought the best in the division were the likes of Margarito, Williams or Cintron, and Cotto isnt fighting them.

                    Can you read, ******?

                    Manny said:

                    Floyd aint fighting TRUE welters
Cotto is fighing the BEST welters

                    my answers are

                    Oscar is a true welterweight,
Shane is not one of the best at welterweight.

Improving your reading skills before calling anyone hypocrite.

Not just steward but the entire HBO crew really really doesn't like Mayweather its borderline hate. There gotta be something behind this.

Theonly one at HBO that gives PBF a fair shake Kellerman.
