bigger guys then him self not then cal. People take oscar and tito and say he fights blown up fighters. but if you put that away he faught at 160 (easly makeing weight and did very good in that division. then he beat tarver who was 2 divisions above him, then he faught winky, but winky was blown up so i dont count that, that was just another win

Even so, who was really bigger than B-Hop? Other than Tarver.

in his last couple fights no one, his whole careerer maybe 4 or 5 guys. But tarver was a big step up. Two weight classes is no joke. Who has Joe Cal faught who is as good as B-hop in defence and still haveing good showings at time of there fight?

So, what I'm saying is in order for Calzaghe to really get credit for this victory he better beat him convincingly.. ie not a bunch of close rounds that could have gone either way. If B-Hop manages to make it close, then a few years ago when he was not an old man he most likely would have won the fight. For the record, I expect Calzaghe to win this fight.. Any thoughts on this?
calzaghe must KO or dominate Hopkins to make this fight mean anything.

Heh. Yeah people are special around here. I agree with you. Calzaghe should win, and should win by 3-4 rounds. Anything else, and we will have to assume that Bernard the Toothless would have won 3-4 years ago.

I dont understand why he needs to do that. Even in beating hopkins you cant look good doing it. Can bhop be knocked out yes, will it happen no!
can he be outboxed, yes, can he clearly be out boxed in a one sided fight i have yet to see this happen. In the last 5 years hopkins is not the guy you look good againts

The original dissertation assumes that the Calzaghe who was tiring towards end of rounds in his last is in his prime, that assumption is wrong…

Jouvin Mercado, Greg Paige, Willie Kemp, Melvin Wynn, Robert Allen, Antwun Echols. all thses fighters out weighted b-hop at the time of there fights. it might be because b-hop just trains so good that he is light but those guys did out weight him, even tho he might have a height advantage.
I never said Cal cant win, i just said to think he will win by a big margin or even a KO is crazy

Who are these guys man? They're all no namers and he probably fought them in the beginning of his career, the only fighter worth mentioning in that list is Allen. You seriously gonna say "B-Hop has beaten bigger guys than himself" and base it on that?
