Ali can dance around the ring like a bunny rabbit all he likes, but Louis will simply step in and jab him, jab and step, jab and step, jab and step, and when Ali's on the ropes Louis'll hit him with a body shot. He only needs to hit him with one body shot per round, and eight rounds later - if it went that far (look below) - with seven rounds left, Ali can barely stand. Louis only needs one invite, and the fight's over. If Ali dropped his right to throw the uppercut off the ropes (not enough room to throw his straight one-two after Louis steps in), Louis would drop him with a left hook. Ali simply couldn't block a ****ing jab! Against Norton, Ali constantly dropped his right hand to throw a right uppercut from the outside, because he couldn't deal with Ken's jab. So Louis might not even need to step in after jabbing and get him to the ropes, to ping him with the left hook and drop him. Just ****ing jab that bunny rabbit!! SeriouslyYour dreaming mate , the class of opposition between Ali and Louis was quite a lot , its easy to cut the ring against duds , , Joe Louis couldnt pin Charles or handle his speed but Marciano and Walcot both KOed Charles , Ezzard had nothing on Ali ,,,,,, Joe was a good hard punching fighter that would have had nightmares with Ali ,,, Alis chin would handle Joes power but Joe could not handle Alis speed .Comment

So you're saying Louis got schooled by a light heavyweight? The same one who lost to Walcott twice, a fighter the same age as him?Comment

OK, WATCH LOUIS' OLD FIGHTS IN THE THIRTIES, AND THEN TELL ME HE'S SLOW, AND ABOUT KATSIDIS, THAT WAS A JOKE, I THINK HE'S A GREAT AND EXCITING FIGHTER, AND I STILL CANT BELIEVE HE LOST TO BUMB ASS CASAMAYOR.......Obviously you dont know my posts , I dont blow sunshine on fighters just because I come from the same place I know exactly what Rocky is , unlike many in here , I dont care where they come from if they are good they are good if **** they are **** ,,,,, and whats that got to do with Ali ,,,,, you think Louis was fast lol , compared to prime Ali Louis was stuck in mud .Comment

Was Ali really 'untouchable' pre-exile? George ****ing Chuvalo constantly got in and worked his ribcage and landed flush with rights to the chin, Chuvalo couldn't dream of having near the speed, accuracy, timing or power of a Brown Bomber. Doug bloody Jones ran him close, a smaller guy with quick hands and a good left jab.
"There was KO power in every one of Joe Louis' punches, but the most important of all was the battering ram of a jab, which was equal in power to an ordinary heavyweights right cross." - Mike Silver
And yes Louis would only need to land one body shot per round, to break Ali down by the middle rounds.
"Louis' body punches were unbelievable. After Max had been immobolized by a right to the kidney, he took a left hook to the solar plexus which paralyzed him. Even though Max was hurt and wanted to fall down, he couldn't even fall." - Manny StewardComment
