I have never been a mayweather fan but its pretty obvious he hits alot harder than malignaggi with the same if not faster speed and a totally different level of technique. Malignaggi was very compettitive against Cotto. Cotto would have to be more than lucky to land a big shot on floyd. otherwise Mayweather will just dance circles around him all night

Floyd Mayweather would fight Cotto this summer if Cotto were signed by any promoter other than Top Rank. You can bet your bottom dollar on that because at the end of the day Floyd Mayweather not only believes he can beat Cotto he also knows that it's the best fight out there.

But ever since the summer of 2002 Floyd Mayweather has been threatening this type of legal action against Bob Arum. He took the first step in the summer of 2006 when he bought out his contract from Top Rank. It was like when Snoop bought out his contract from Death Row. Everyone wanted to say it was because he was scared. This mutha****er wants what all of us want. He wants control of his own career.

I can promise you one thing. You're not going to see Arum complaining about this suit. Arum was complaining when Team Mayweather wasn't filing siut because he knew the suit was pending but that it wasn't coming. So, he started strumming up things by saying Mayweather was scared of Cotto. You can bet your bottom dollar he's not going to be saying that anymore.

This is all about getting the upper hand in any negotiations where Team Mayweather and Top Rank do business together. Why do you think Bob Arum refers to Al Haymon as Machiavelli? He believes that Haymon cut him out so that he could have more control over Mayweather's lucrative career. And Arum is undeniably bitter. But this suit has been coming for a long time and the fact that it's finally here means that once its resolved there is the potential for a truce between Team Mayweather and Top Rank. But those of you who believed in your heart of hearts that Mayweather is scared of Cotto wouldn't get that because you're stuck on something that's not even true.

If Cotto truly wants to fight the best then he should drop his sleezy ass promoter and handle his own career. then watch the matchups proceed. has anybody ever considered why some "top" fighters continue to use promoters? Have ask that same question in my head so many times, Why Can Cotto do a Hatton and drop Arum and promote his own fights? I heard Cotto is promoting fights in Puerto rico and i would love for him to drop that con-artist In Bob Arum, He stand to make more money if he let arum go and he would be open to many fights.

Cotto is big enough to go it alone and i hope he does that one day.

That Margarito is not that good. He was outboxed by a not that good williams who got outboxed by a not that good quintana. Cotto absolutely destroyed quintana so therefore he woulda destroyed the other2 therefore margarito vs mayweather woulda been a complete waste of all our time.

You can owe a promoter because the promoter could give you up front money or money when you ask for it at times like a friend. Arum is a lawyer and knows the ropes, dont think Floyd really wanna do this, but oh well we will see how it plays out.

Just beacause fighters are ranked doesnt mean it would be competitive if matched against each other. Cotto and quintana were ranked 1 and 2 but cotto literally beat the **** out of quintana. Carlos baldomir was world champ when he fought floyd but it was pretty obvious he sucks compared to him before the fight even happened
