I do believe Arum may owe Mayweather something. This should all get interesting.

Quite a few people floated the idea that Floyd filed this lawsuit as a way of ducking Cotto. Now, there is more reason to believe that fight won't happen based on the pending counter- and cross-suits Arum has promised.

If you are anti-Floyd, you could say he knew this would happen and now he can blame Arum's counter-suits and reaction as a reason not to fight Cotto.

No matter the real reasons, this fight just isn't on the horizon unless some things drastically change.

How long did it take for DLH and Arum to work together after DLH left Top Rank? About 3 or 4 years right?

How long has Floyd been gone from Top Rank? I'm pretty sure it's been about 1.5 years. I think these suits and countersuits will eventually be resolved out of court with some money exchanging hands and Mayweather agreeing to fight Cotto.

It'll take awhile, but really I think even Bob Arum knows that he has that card in his pocket and it glad that this is finally coming. Mayweather fans have always known that Floyd wanted his money from Arum and that was a prime reason why the fight hadn't happened. Cotto fans believed that Mayweather was just scared and might think this is a bad thing. I think this is progress toward their eventual showdown.

Arum said people who work for Mayweather, and really he's talking about Al Haymon. It's not clear if Arum is referring to the $500,000 buyout...I couldn't imagine that that's it or if there's something else, but I really doubt Floyd is the one who owes Arum money.

But when Floyd filed the suit he knew Arum was going to file a countersuit. All of this has been at least a year and a half in the making. The lawyers have worked everything through and they're ready to go.

I think this is really the beginning of the end. By this time next year Mayweather-Cotto will be signed. They'll all still hate each other just like Golden Boy and Top Rank still hate each other, but they'll agree to do that fight.

I hope your right, these guys are probably spending more on lawyers then what theyre owed by each other.
