I doubt Diaz can fight another way. He can only impose his will and throw tons of punches.

He absolutely can't. But is a physical adjustment necessary or simply a mental one? Perhaps both, we will see.

Either way, good job. Its a step in the right direction for you.
          I met Juan Diaz

          I even interviewed him.

I was very impressed with how much of a gentleman and humble person he was. I genuinely like the guy.

I believe in styles, and the styles were terrible for Diaz. There are a lot of people looking to jump on me for every mistake I make. I wouldn't put my reputation on the line if I didn't believe what I was saying.

And note that even though Forrest could adjust, it was not enough for him to win. Therefore the prospects for Diaz, if his confidence has been broken, are potentially even worse than Forrest's (though I highly doubt this is the case, Diaz wasn't brutally knocked out in the early rounds).
Jeff Lacy wasn't knocked out in the early rounds by Joe Calzaghe, either. Though it would've been better had he been.

I agree that a brutal knockout is far less damaging than a prolonged 12 round beating, although I do not think Diaz took a career changing beating, but that is yet to be seen.

The beating Lacy took was much more psychologically damaging than what Diaz got tonight. At this juncture we can only speculate about potential effects; the important point for now is not how the loss occurred, but that it was a loss.

Then the Czar Amonsot fight. If it wasn't a Golden Boy Promotions card, that fight would have been stopped in any other jurisdiction. Czar Amonsot isn't a big puncher or a particularly snappy puncher, and he made Klitschko's cut with Lewis look like a nick. (Okay, maybe not a nick but it wasn't as bad.)

If Katsidis got hit like Diaz got hit, what would his face look like. Now take that face, does he look like that face could beat the Campbell who beat Juan Diaz?

And about pacing, that's Juan Diaz's fight. He is all punching, all the time. If he slows his pace down, then he's just a guy standing in front of you not punching. I wouldn't recommend that game plan.
Katsidis hits harder than what you think , harder than Diaz for sure and is phyically stronger as Juan is a small lightweight and Katsidis is a big lightweight , he also has fast hands and is very aggressive ,, Katsidis would destroy Pedon who beat the breaks of Nate here in Aus ,,, he is also not so prone to cut like in the Amonsot fight where they were started by butts and worked on because of the right jabs ,,, Casamayor will show a lot about Katsidis and where he is but if Rocky can beat Joel he will beat Nate , I saw Robbie Pedon have Campbel all but gone and Katsidis ****s a lot harder than Pedon , Rocky is a very hungry fighter dont write him off with anyone .

Most of my argument for Campbell has been the weight issues. Just as Cotto is a different fighter at 147, I feel Campbell is a much improved fighter now that he doesn't struggle to make weight like he did at 130.

Katsidis destroying Peden means nothing. Peden is a shot fighter who is getting stretched by fringe contenders like Renee Ganoy. What's the correlation here?

Katsidis is prone to cuts and he has it bad. Once a fighter has the cuts problem, he always has it. Unless he gets that surgery that sc****s the bone particles or whatever Raul Marquez had done to him. I have a hard time believing Katsidis' skin can hold up to Campbell's shots.

What can Casamayor show when he lost his last fight? Jose Armando Santo Cruz showed a lot about what Casamayor has left. Which is very little.

With Katsidis destroying Pedon reference , Im saying the Pedon that beat Nate not the one that Renee beat , if you saw Pedon handling Nate you would say Campbel has little left as a world title force .

Casamayor can show plenty , depends on what one shows up ,,, much like the Nate that showed up tonight , it happens when they really get up for it ,, I dont think Campbel will produce tonights effort in all his next fights , not at 36 he wont , tonight was special for Campbell probably the best performance of his career and like he said he worked his ass of for this , if Katsidis is impressive with Joel meaning taking him out then we have maybe a year for this fight to materialize ,, I want to see more of Katsidis in this class but I,ll say it again dont write him off with anyone .
