Casamayor can show plenty , depends on what one shows up ,,, much like the Nate that showed up tonight , it happens when they really get up for it ,, I dont think Campbel will produce tonights effort in all his next fights , not at 36 he wont , tonight was special for Campbell probably the best performance of his career and like he said he worked his ass of for this , if Katsidis is impressive with Joel meaning taking him out then we have maybe a year for this fight to materialize ,, I want to see more of Katsidis in this class but I,ll say it again dont write him off with anyone .
I'm not sure what kind of access to American fights you have in Australia, but I don't quite get the relevance of your argument about these Australian pugs. How do you know Peden would've been destroyed by Katsidis if they never fought. For every argument you make for that stance, I can make another argument against it. Besides, that's 130 and Campbell is champ at 135. He had issues at 130 and 4-5 years ago, he was 4-5 years less experienced.

I'm not too impressed by Katsidis. His appeal comes from the aesthetically pleasing manner that he fights in, like Gatti. He's a crowd pleaser, but I don't see anything special about him. If they fought on any other promoter's card, Czar Amonsot would be holding the WBO Lightweight Title right now with a TKO victory.

If Diaz isn't psychologically destroyed, I believe with a proper opponent Diaz can go back to his winning ways. Slick fighters almost make everyone look bad imho.

I think he needs a new trainer that will get him away from all the machines and training old school.

I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do. If diaz is comfortable with his trainer and training then i guess he shouldn't change them. I think he just needs the right opponent. Like I said and people have said it in the past that slick fighters can make everyone look bad even the great ones.

I think we are going of the track a little , my whole point is I get the feeling you are writing Katsidis of like he has no chance and all Im saying is that might not be the case and I gave reasons , I dont think Rocky is special either but neither was Pedon and he whipped Nate and Nate is now 36 , Campbell looked great today hats of to him I dont think he can rise to that every fight , I have seen Nate on the loosing end and he didnt look so good , Im not saying Rocky can beat him just yet , Like I said I want to see how Rocky handles the class as he has rose pretty fast , I think Katsidis will surprise a few people , the biggest handicap against Diaz today was he has no power .

I thought it was a great win by Campbell wish him all the best , typical old school seasoned fighter who took a young gun to fight school .

I picked Diaz by TKO5 if u'll remember, and i thought i was gonna be right. Campbell looked beaten up and was getting hit more and more as the rounds went by.

He just picked up the pace and kept throwing. Hit harder too. And that cut didnt help Diaz, which kept bleeding.

But wow Diaz got GASSED. He was EXHAUSTED by the 6th round. And by the 10th he was practically out of the fight. He was so tired.

I saw this in the Julio fight too. He does get very tired, he is not this stamina animal that people think he is.

However, i think Diaz will win a tuneup fight, get his rematch with Campbell, and if they do rematch i would go with the Diaz win. because when you look at the fight, when Diaz was really opening up Campbell seemed overwhelmed and i think he was even buzzed a few times, and it was getting worse and worse for Campbell until Diaz just gassed out.

Of coarse, Diaz gassed out because Campbell was working so much, but Diaz proved that he has NO sense of pacing. He has to control himself and box more rounds.

But i give Campbell a ton of credit for the win, its a great win for him. I REALLY hope he fights Katsidis cause thats just almost just as good a fight as Diaz-Katsidis.

And i was impressed with Diaz's class after the fight. Campbell seems like a decent guy himself
Campbell beat him in his own game, Diaz should've boxed more as he said, forget the cut excuse.
