DIAS was Spanking CAMPBELL in the early rounds...

I was really shocked that Campbell was able to win the late rounds, especially as convincingly as he did.

I picked Diaz by TKO5 if u'll remember, and i thought i was gonna be right. Campbell looked beaten up and was getting hit more and more as the rounds went by.

He just picked up the pace and kept throwing. Hit harder too. And that cut didnt help Diaz, which kept bleeding.

But wow Diaz got GASSED. He was EXHAUSTED by the 6th round. And by the 10th he was practically out of the fight. He was so tired.

I saw this in the Julio fight too. He does get very tired, he is not this stamina animal that people think he is.

However, i think Diaz will win a tuneup fight, get his rematch with Campbell, and if they do rematch i would go with the Diaz win. because when you look at the fight, when Diaz was really opening up Campbell seemed overwhelmed and i think he was even buzzed a few times, and it was getting worse and worse for Campbell until Diaz just gassed out.

Of coarse, Diaz gassed out because Campbell was working so much, but Diaz proved that he has NO sense of pacing. He has to control himself and box more rounds.

But i give Campbell a ton of credit for the win, its a great win for him. I REALLY hope he fights Katsidis cause thats just almost just as good a fight as Diaz-Katsidis.

And i was impressed with Diaz's class after the fight. Campbell seems like a decent guy himself

Campbell was very determined and did what he said he would do. Was a good fight.

thank you, a guy with some pull around here agrees with me. If Diaz has no cut this fight is different. Probably the way i envisioned it. You cant expect him to fight like nothing, that thing was slit open

Campbell knew this was his last chance at the title and 3 titles to the exact so he did what he know he can do and thats is to use his experience to put a beatdown on a younger fighter.

I disagree there. Almost every round before 9 was very close. I had it even going into the 9th actually.

Happy for Campbell. When I saw him dismantle Kid Diamond, I thought he was the only guy with a chance to beat Baby Bull.

Campbell outworked the younger volume puncher, give him credit.

At age 36 that's a very hard thing to do, just tells you something about how hard he trained for this fight.

Nate used his strenght&experience and looked great fighting on the inside.

He used some rough tricks to accomplish it but that's what every great fighter can do.

Thats another reason i think Campbell would lose a rematch. How could he possibly pull another performance like that out of his heart?

The saying is that every great fighter has one last great fight in him. I wouldnt call Campbell a great fighter, but that was his last great fight. I dont think he could do anything like that again.

If he could, at age 36, pull off yet another win over Juan Diaz, i would be very very surprised.

I thought it was very close to. But i thought of those first 6 rounds, you had to at least give 4 to Diaz if not more. After 6 he got really really tired IMO, and lacked the snap that wins him fights.

Accuracy was key and he attacked the body hard. He rolled with Diaz's punches and sacrificed the early rounds so the younger man would be just as tired as him in the long run. Then at the late rounds, it would be his accuracy and heart against Diaz. Diaz has heart.....but he doesn't have experience nor the power to shift the fight back in his favor.
